What is bud fortifier? How and when do you use it during flowering and...is it worth it...or just another fertilizer marketing gimik?

PF lover: Actually, no. :) I was at the hydro store--I got into a disussion with the owner about the gross amount of marketing --'super bloom this' and 'mega ultra bloom that', just to see what his thoughts were. He said the only reason he shelves all the stuff is because customers were complaining he didn't have "enough choice". Fair enough. He said he actually gets a little pissed because most of the product only moves for a few weeks and then it's "old news" until the new product comes out.

Then he mentioned at the end, "the only thing I would add (other than bloom ferts) is a little bloom fortifier nearing the end". I didn't really pick up on his comment until I was at home. I was wondering what it does. I don't think he was referring to an actual brand name but rather a type of fertilizer/product used nearing the end of flower...

Any takers on what this is....?

can't even find more that a reference or two for it on line. nothing that even points to where to buy it or what it is or how well it works or what it does..... sorry. :(
