iam currently a horticulture major at csu. iam having extreme difficulty in one of my class plant propigation not because of the subject but because the text book ( Hartmann and Kester's Plant Propagation: Principles and Practices) is horrible at giving facts and there arnt that many resources to look up certain vocabulary. words like megasporogenesis are hard to find the correct definition even online. does anyone know of any good books or online sites that would carry the type of information i need?? keep in mind this class is not just sticking plants in the ground, but more about the biochemistry of seeds and tissue culture techniques. thanx again guys

thanx for the short little lesson..... can't really help you more than this but i at least know what that word means now.
megasporogenesis is the formation/generation of the the larger of the 2 types of spores. these spores resalt in female gametophytes(offspring with 2 possible sexes).
