that any memebr having a feeling that another member of TY is not all that they seem to be, or more then they say they are, to bring their feelings/suspicions to the attention of Administration or a moderator through a PM.
My reasoning for this?
First, TY is a welcoming place that tries it's best to show compassion. If you make an accusation, subtle or not, you can make a new member feel put off and maybe raise doubt in the minds of the rest of the membership, you can make the member in question feel put off, especially if you're wrong about your assumptions. Also you don't leave yourself open to hurt feelings if others either don't agree with you or question/doubt your feelings.
I don't believe that anyone here has malicious intent by making such posts and hunches and feelings are a good thing, but I feel that they should initally be handled behind the scenes to spare the feelings of everyone involved.

Too many times I have stopped someone from being overtrusting &
revealing too much personal info to someone that is a *alleged* LEO
who comes in the door fishing for info & trying to be accepted but you
know somethings wrong - they follow a known pattern... Same with trolls...

If said person in question is legit & has nothing to hide - then I appologize...
Until such times as they are shown as legit - You are going to get what
you get...

IMHO - The safety of the group is what is important...
The support & kindness is there... But it has its limits...

Having ones arms too open leaves one standing there ready for a royal
kick in the nads... You don't leave that door open...

Keeping issues like this in the dark does not benefit those here...
If someone sees a problem - it should be noted to the members so all
can see...
Especially when it comes to finding LEOs who could adversely affect all of us
and our personal freedom & safety...

If it is a leo & they are lit up like a neon sign - they bail & damn fast...
I do what I do for a reason...

They have the chance to change my mind by how they respond...
They run the gambit & are legit then there is no problem...
I reserve the right to appologize when I am wrong...

In 2 years at being at TY there have been many who bail upon closer
scrutiny... Thus the manner of approach...
I am trying to protect Ty members from harm & that is part of the compassion...

My hope with anyone who comes in like that - that I am wrong & it isn't a LEO...
I reserve the right to call bullshyt when necessary...

The support, compassion & kindness is there for all - but you have to
earn trust... In stuff like MJ it is not freely given - especially when your
very life & freedom is involved...

Personally - I'd rather be safe than sorry...
The touchy feely be supportive stuff does nothing when you get busted...

I have a cat, SO naturally I have catfood in a dish, sitting on the floor.
So naturally other cats comeinto my house to eat the catffod as well.
Sometimes, if there's no cat food out, they'll tear apart my bread, or tomaotes or other foodstuffs. The only way to combat this problem is to keep all of my doors and windows shut (Which also prevents my cat from having free access in and out of the house)
So, Basically what I do is to buy extra catfood and understand that cats that I don't want to feed will get fed anyway.

Don't believe it. They'll just come back in a more innocuous (sp?) form until they get it right and are completely and totally accepted into the community.

The fact is, that on all sites such as TY, there is LEO at least watching.
This is the risk they we, members of such sites take when we become members.
And anyone who doesn't know this, SHOULD SMARTEN THEMSELVES UP RIGHT QUICK!!!

It's like chasing flies away, it's a fruitless excersise that only proves more frustrating then the flies themselves. It's something that you learn to live with.

Stray, this is a very troubling aspect of this whole scene. I try to be wary of LEO intruding into my life, but I can not just turn my back on those in need. It's a very fine line we walk, and the perils are troublesome, to say the least. I get angry at my self if I close up to tightly, and yet paranoia has saved me from a variety of ills in the past. Just, really, don't know when to say NO sometimes. It is so hard to be an open person in this community and cover your own behind. I get confused....
