I'm trying to put a family tree together for all my babies but I'm unable to locate any info on the lineage of Shiskaberry. Anybody have a clue?

afghani is one of the parents. I am pretty sure its just afghani x blueberry.

shiska is one of the most memorable smokes ive ever come across. it wasnt very strong in my opinion compared to other strains like 4way, sour diesel, purple barney, or ssh for example.. however, the taste was something i will never forget. it had been well cured and immediately when you lit a dutch of it, you could SMELL it in the smoke someone exhaled.. it was amazing, more of a sandalwood flavor. do you get that sandalwood flavor?

which shiska do you run? can you give any opinions of it?

Thanks. I love shiskaberry but I've only had outdoor grown shiskaberry (never grown it). I grow Burmaberry (shiskaberry #3 x Burmese) indoors and wanted to trace it's lineage back. Everybody I show it to/smoke with say's it's the nicest stuff they have seen in a long time. It's fairly more potent than straight shiskaberry and has a nicely ballanced effect.

If you can get burmaberry beans get them! They are great and have a lower threashold for hermaphrodism than straight shiskaberry. Burmaberry is a pretty short stature plant with minimal streach and dense nugz. It's mold and drought resistant and finishes in 8 weeks 12/12.

yea to clarify I didnt have the pleasure of growing it. this was years ago. i was lucky enough to find a single bean out of maybe a 1/2 lb i went through during the only month it was around.. a friend offered to let me store it at his house, but threw it away months later without consulting me. needless to say "pissed off" doesnt describe it.

burmaberry, thats a reeferman strain right? I am kind of apprehensive about him because of the fact that he puts out such a high volume of simple hybrids that I am concerned for quality control. however results speak for themselves, I will gladly give it a shot, though it will be months until I have an opening for it. I would really like to try his love potion as I am dying to get my hands on some real santa maria again.

thanks for the info :) take it easy

Simple hybrid or not Burmaberry is some tasty smoke that packs a nice punch. It cures out realy fast and smooth as well. I grow organic so I'm sure that contributes but I've noticed that it consistantly cures faster that other strains I grow.

I grew some of Cash Crop Kennys Shishka a few years back and it was one of my favorites. Not the most potent but the taste was great and a nice even buzz.

for the record, cash crop ken got his shiska from breeder steve's spice of life variety - they are the same plant ;)

otter can you describe the taste and aroma? did you taste sandalwood after a good cure?

Celtic, then I really didn,t cure because I was always in to much of a hurry to have something to smoke. But It was an earthy smell and taste. My wife liked it cause it didn't make her sleepy. Ya I figured with a name like cash crop kenny it was a knock off. Maybe I'll try Spice of Life sometime!!

This is what I found on the parentage of shiskaberry....
Basicly confirms what celtic stated.

"Mothered by two Afghani hybrid cousins, the red and yellow. These were selected for yield and resin productivity respectively. The father was the most incredibly resinous. Blueberry Male from DJ Short Collection."

Nice. Thanks for the help in my family tree project. I gotta say that the burmaberry is some yummy stuff. it does wonders for my chronic pain but I put on 5 pounds around my belly because of burmaberry's appetite stimulating qualities.
