I have a friend here at TY (not northernwymon) who is going into the Hospital today for surgery.
I would ask that you spend a moment to send prayers, healing thoughts, 'karma', or good vibes to aid in a speedy recovery.
Thank-you all.
Prayers and and thoughts heading your way my friend.... :)

No matter what scales we use, we never know the weight of another persons burden.
Good blessings and karma on the way
Here's hoping for a speedy recovery. Doctors aren't perfect, but they work minor miracles every day.

Raton i hope this prayer will find its way to your friends heart and mind and give him much power for the struggle ahead!
From the west may the winds warm you,
From the north may the cold numb your pain,
From the south may the plants become medicine to bring you to good health! From the east comes the power of my prayer on the winds i send it from my heart to yours!Wasta

From the bottom of my heart I'd like to thank each and every one of you guys for the all the thoughts, prayers, and vibes I got from you. I don't think I can find words to describe the feeling of warmth and love I was filled with that morning when I read this. It's that kind of thing that sicks in your mind and you just 'know' it'll never go away. Am I making any sense? I guess it doesn't really matter.... and just so happy that I have it now. Thank you guys:)
Thank you so much Raton for having done this for me.

Its good to remember that in the common cause we all stand for and have in our lives is also much caring and compassion. as pain or being sick or even having a sick family member takes Faith, Love,And Compassion so we have already these things in us and we have much strength in our prayers!
Just an ole N.A tellin the tale of the
Wind And the Rain Drop!
Dark, dark are the clouds of the wind! And does seek to blow mans prayers to the skies. Busy is the wind and always on the move.
One day a single raindrop was all alone and ask the wind to stop for just a sec so that the Raindrop may fall and give MotherEarth its purpose.
The wind did blow and blow and then ask the lil raindrop WHY!??And to that question the rain drop said because even a single drop of water is better than none at all!
And so the wind did STOP! and The Sun did shine! And for that moment all was RIGHT! Na wasta

Thank you Pain Pal:) I really appreciate that:D
Darnpj, that tale inspired me to share with you guys a translation work I did just for fun the other day. I don't usually 'dare' to translate poetry... but anyway... it's a song a Brazilian musician, Caetano Veloso, wrote after a poem of John Done (English poet from the 16th century) and here it goes:
Prayer for the Time
You're such a beautiful Lord
Like the face of my child
Time, time, time, time
I will make you a wish
Time, time, time, time
Composer of destinies
Drums of all rhythms
Time, time, time, time
I'll make a deal with you
For you're so inventive
And you look continous
You're one of the most beautiful gods
Time, time, time, time
Be even more vivid
In the sound of my verse
Time, time, time, time
Listen well to what I say
Time, time, time, time
I ask you for the legitimate pleasure
And the precise movement
Time, time, time, time
When the time is appropriate
Time, time, time, time
In a way that my spirit
Gets a difinitive shine
Time, time, time, time
And I spread the benefits
Time, time, time, time
What we will use for that
Will reamain in secret
Time, time, time, time
Only between me and you
Time, time, time, time
And when I'm gone
Out of your circle
Time, time, time, time
I won't exist neither would have you*
Time, time, time, time
Even though I believe
To be possible for us to reunite
In another level of connection
Time, time, time, time
Therefore I ask you that
And I offer you praises
Time, time, time, time
In the rhymes of my style
* Here he makes a pun that doesn't work in English, but I assume he said that when we cease to exist so does the time (and vice versa). It may seem obvious and silly but IMHO this verse is crucial to the song and he just couldn't have chosen better words (in Portuguese, of course) to say it. Poetry is the most difficult things to translate coz of the metric and rhymes, so I just did a 'free translation' coz I love this song. Sorry for being this long.
Peace&Hugs
