Recently I bought a bag of Sphagnum Moss thinking it was Peat Moss..
My question is, can the Sphagnum Moss be used in soil the same as Peat Moss?
Moisture is held about twenty times it's weight so I'm thinking it may not be good for MJ growing.
Thanks,
GT

Hi there, I grow orchids for grits and shins as does the wife for a living and I would not recommend the spagnum moss for your particular use.
It retains moisture for a very long time and is fantastic for what I use it for but I think catastrophic for your use.
Just my thoughts. ;)

The dust from sphagnum is a problem for a lot of people it has some kind of spores I believe.
