I recently oredered three packs of seeds from Greenlife Seeds out of Canada, Northern Lights #5, B.C. Big Bang, and an indoor mix pack. I germinated 18 of the 36 seeds I got. One of the indoor mix seedlings popped out with 3 round leaves and 3 serated leaves. The indoor mix seeds are supposed to be a mixture of Sweet Skunk, Grapefruit, and Romulan Hybrids but I'll never know what strain this plant really is. It has grown another set of 3 leaves now and it appears that throughout this plants life it will automatically have 50% more branches. Hope its a girl. have any of you heard of or seen this before? Thanks for your feedback.

the phenominon you are talking about often gets called polyploid, triploid. i have seen this happen form seed, shortly after seed, and on one brach of a reveg plant. i have even seen a quadraploid before in pix. fun, aren't they? :)

Yeah we're calling it Tri-Star, I really hope it's a girl I'm thinking about topping it once it gets to about 5-6 nodes. Do these grow slower because it takes more energy to grow more leaves? should I top it?

These kinds of plants are not 'triploids' (as in three sets of chromasomes,) what this plant is demonstarting is called, 'whorled phyllotaxy.' If you look it up you'll find that they are generally males. Only once in great while will you get a female from a plant with whorled phyllotaxy.

all the ones i have ever seen were female hash..... 6 different plants and strains.
thans for the correction. i technically know that but have only heard whorled phyllotaxy once before and guess i hadn't made the correction to my lexicon yet.

Whorled...quite true hashimoto. There is a popular variety that is prone to whorled growth in females: Blueberry Indica. I get these from time to time (as do many others) and they start growing "normally" after node 6 or 7.
I warn people about this trait in BBerry...I've had friends toss a dozen plants thinking they were mutated and garbage.

I had two females from some donated seeds. They were very good meds. I revegged them and cloning more. They were pretty good stuff!

hey i'm on my 2nd one. first was a g-13 wich gave some very good meds,
my 2nd one is a 3 Branch HumboltSnow all 3 tops are budding very nicely all have very thick white hairs, all i do to them is while in vegg i remove all lower growing branches wich would other wise produce very small popcorn buds, this way the plant energy helps plant grow better, and to me a bit faster in growth.....

I had this one pop up. It is a clone taken from a normal Sensi Star.

Almost looks like it was re-vegged or taken during early flower. I love mutants.
