We were deep in the gamma quadrant when I received an urgent communique from the chief engineer.
'Capt'n, were dangerously low on Dilithium Crystals, we canna make it to Station 420.'
'Blast it!!! I replied, Can't - you - do - any-thing - to - increase the output?
'Sorry Sir, I canna change the laws of physics!'
Yes, the supply of Meds was/is dangerously low and with nothing but local brown, sandy Meds around it was time to do a Sponsors Product Evaluation of the BubbleBags that I won a while ago.
Now, with no trim to speak of I talked to a friend who I'm kind of technical advisor for. Yeah, that's the ticket. Technical Advisor. Anyway, He was coming down my way in a few days and would be happy to give me some trim.
Cool.
Well, he obviously misunderstand the process and what was involved.
I gave me about an ounce of trim, maybe a bit more but not much.
And I was very thankful. So I stuck it in the freezer, showed him the BubbleBags, which he thought were cool, but still didn't understand the process. Anyway, he left and I waited a few days, until today.
So, I took the trim from the freezer and it was a mix of fan leaves and male plants. Not male trim, but male plants, just cut up.
It wasn't looking promising, but I had already gotten started, so I figured that I'd finish.
The bags are sturdy, especially if you mix in a seperate bucket and then pour through the BubbleBag setup and treat your bags with care (Rinse each one after you're through with it, ETC) these bags will last a long time.
So anyway, I mixed for about 15 - 20 minutes. I tie my mixer onto the bucket and then go do something else. I poured the mix into the stacked bags and let it sit for a while.
I whished around the 1st bag and pulled it out and put the bulk of the plant material into a bowl and rinsed the bag.
I waited a minute or two and swished the next bag and pulled it out, really nothing, just a little bit of crap. Rinsed the bag.
Nothing. Rinsed the bag.
You get the drift. Rinse the bag.
So, I don't save anything until the 73 (?) bag. It was kind of green, I probably mixed to long or to much or both, it wasn't a lot, but it wasn't bad. Maybe two seeds worth. :)
The 45 bag was even less, about a seed.
in the 25 bag I got about 3 seeds.
Not a big haul, but I'll say this.
I have filterbags that I've used a few times, now this was on really sandy trim, so I'll conceed that a bulk of the Bubble was probably sand. So I can only compare them on ease of use.
While the filter bags did work, these are easier. The smallest filterbag in the kit is 35 microns and was difficult to drain, the smallest BubbleBag is 25 micron's and the water flowed fairly easily.
Now if I was a bit more careful, I would have gotten a little bit more, but as it is, I was surprised to get anything. And the quality of the end product is surperb(sp?).
The 45(?) micron bag's product is so far the stickest, where the other two have a slight adhesion problem, but I'm keeping them. But not for long.
I give a thumbs up to the BubbleBags, for quality construction and materials, ease of use and end product. The only drawback for me is that after I rinsed a filterbag, I could fling it over the shower curtain and let it dry, the Bubblebags are bulkier and harder to rinse and dry, especially when you have Hamsters in your bathtub and need to do it in the kitchen sink.
Don't ask.
Thanks Fresh Headies, Marco and TY.
Oh, and it comes in a cool carrying/storage case that you could use as a pillow in a pinch!
:)
