I'm drawing a blank on how to do this.
I want to have a switch the will shutoff my water pump if res. runs dry.
May be some thing that I can mount into the pvc feed lines or measures flow or low pressure.
I'm sure there are a number of ways to do it, I just can't figure it out.
Major Brainfart going on.

You need a float switch.
Sump pumps have them.

You might be able to regulate levels with a toilet tank valve so your pump will not run dry .Valve would replace any water or fluid losses, maintaining levels. oj

I use a Float Switch on my Rez. I buy mine through 'Grainger' - part #3BY74 - $27.00. It's a 'long range' switch so you can have up to a 55 gallon tank and automaticlly turn on a pump when the level gets to whatever level you set.
Hope this helps,
