i need some help IDing this flower/plant... the audubon does not have it, but it is a verry common plant in this area.....:confused:

That looks like the elusive "vapor flower". Never been successfully documented because their photos and drawings seem to disappear right before your eyes!

Hey, Yrekagrow, have you checked with the old guy at COS-Weed campus, shoot, I can't think of his name! He does the wildflower mini-course. Mr Beady? When I went there he was putting a wildflower catalog on-line. Don't know if he ever finished it, but you should be able to access it from the college site if it exists. Or you could just ask the COS-Yreka bio teacher, they usually have a taxonomy key.
