PH down

Hi members,I noticed my grow was taking forever to grow well i checked the water ph and it was well over 8.0,so i added a little ph down actually a 1/4 teaspon to a gallon of water and brought it back down to 6.0-6.5-now in just 2 days i could see the difference in growth,much greener leaves and my 2 Temple Indicas seem to have shot up fast.from now on i am useing the ph down and testing my water periodically.If i add lets say fish emulsion or another grow fertilizer will that also affect my PH??peace sincerly E.J:cool:

It changes my ph, depending on what you are using. Some fertz are ph buffered, I think.

My water is 8.0 PH and after adding EarthJuice grow/bloom the solution drops to 4.5-5.0 PH. I used to PH adjust my water/nutrient soulution to 6.0-6.5 every time. I no longer adjust my water/nutrient soulution PH.

Last year I began amending my soil mix with 2 TBS of dolomite lime per gallon of soil. Plants receive magnesium, calcium and a 7.0 PH from the dlomite lime. My Plants are very happy today! Dolomite lime is your friend and did I mention....No more adjusting of water/nutrient PH....ever! :D

Hi QuieteGarderner,I just started adding a little dolmite lime to some of my last grows and i noticed a big difference,I just started adding like 1/2 cup to like a 5 gallon bucket or a large hole i dig up,I add a little cow compost.then bone and blood meal a 1/2 cup each and anther gallon or 2 of peat moss to break up the loam clay we have here.Then i water feed in between waterings.peace sincerly E.J;)

can i say this..cannabis in hydro will grow best at ph 5.7 to 6.0 and in soil your looking 6.8 to 7.2...anything outside off theses your plant will start to suffer..i was blow away when you said 8.0...shit thats well tooooooo high..but anyways..your looking for ferts from canna..there aqua range is ph buffered..this mines..was you lower your ferts WITH ph down to let say..5.8...well this feed will never go beond the buffer point of 6.0..unless your messing up big time...but if your growing your on meds..ph down is a must
