I have read the rules ...

To begin with, I would take control of all media away from any corporate ownership or influence and place it back into the hands of the people. I would also remove all forms of censorship from said media. It is only when we take back control of our language that we can truly advance to the next stage of our existence.

Secondly, I would ensure that every human had what they needed before any had more than they needed. There is no practical reason anyone on this planet should be starving, or sick, or in fear of their lives and safety. We have plenty of resources if those in control of the resources would cease their soul-destroying pursuit of material gain.

Find or develop alternate fossil fuel resources to defuse the middle east issues. Make it a requirement politicians receive a yearly salary of $1.00 to dissuade the greedy from even considering a public office just for the money.Require all politicians to undergo lie detector tests on a biannual schedule.

well inorder to make the world a better place that would be saying that the world is currently a dystopia, which is the opposite of utopia. if you are trying to make the world a better place, then you are trying to make the world more of a utopia. this makes sense right? not really because the word utopia derives from the 2 greek words "ou" (which means no), and "topos" wich means land or place which together is "no place" so, in order for the world to become a utopia, the world should either change its meaning of words or stop existing.

I would just be honest about the little men that crashed in the spacecraft so many years ago that night in the desert. Just tell people what really happened out at area 51 and Groom lake. Lets hear the truth.

As individuals we can only do so much to make the world a better place, so being realistic I'll continue to do what I always try to do: smile; keep an open mind; tolerate differences but not intolerance; try to stay optimistic; do good where I can; and forgive myself and forgive others to the best of my ability.

The only really big difference I could ever hope to make, is to contribute a butterfly flutter of goodwill to perhaps a hurricane of peace - if not unfortunately around the world then at least within my own little area of influence, especially my family and friends.

I have read the rules......

In order to make a more perfect world, I believe I have to start with myself. I want to treat everyone like I want to be treated, I think that if we could all get together or at least be open to one another, the world would already be turned around 180 degrees. I think change starts with #1 and that means me. I need to be willing to stay open, loving, spiritual, and mostly, vulnerable and accountable to my fellow human beings. If we could all be mindful of that and stay in that space, the world would change without having to do much but change ourselves and the way we think.

Peace and One Love,
Free:cool:

PS..not well written, but I hope my meaning gets across.....lol.;)

money and power will not change the world to a better place--i wish our president would accept that. It's our evoulution of man kind that will change the world--not one person can do it(they can help)but this step will have to be for our existance in life period..i think anywho..education is how i would make the world a better place---i think that a lot more can go into our schooling at any age to futher our strength in knowledge so we can become better people in any country. I say, help ours to become better than what we were:)Peace ---funk

I would make Canada a leader and a model for the rest of the world to emulate in this endeavor.

I would have every school well and equally funded. Funding for the repair or replacement of substandard schools would take priority over funding to build another *%$#! bomb. I would have each of the schools pick perhaps 5 bright, but disadvantaged students to get a government sponsored scholarship in certain fields- medicine, as an example. (It's cheaper than supporting them later in prison.) After graduation, the student repays the government with work in a Free Clinic in a depressed or rural area for as many years as it took to get through college. If the student drops out, s/he still owes some form of community service. The government pays the new doctors with a food stamp card, a government car and a gas card, an apartment and a small salary. After they have worked off their debt, they can continue to work at the clinic at a normal salary or start their own practice. Unless a good education and free/low cost medical attention for all become top priorities, I don't see how things can ever get better. That is what I would do to change the world.

I have read the rules.

I am in the process of examinating my life and making changes.
I think this is something we as people need to do in order to make positive changes to our world.

If everyone was a little less angry, less jelous and more loving and caring the world would change for the better.

It's an "inside job".

If I may quote:

And the men who hold high places
Must be the ones to start,
To mould a new reality
Closer to the heart

The blacksmith and the artist
Reflect it in their art
Forge their creativity
Closer to the heart

Philosophers and ploughmen
Each must know his part
To sow a new mentality
Closer to the heart

You can be the captain
I will draw the chart
Sailing into destiny
Closer to the heart

I have read the rules.

I would make the world a better place by, treating everyone equal and do for them what I would like to be done for and or to me. I would help people when I could and would do it just for the sense of joy it would give me and the help it would do for them. With luck this would catch on and people would start to pay it forward, if this was to happen it wouldn't be long before the world would be better place.

I have read the rules.

I would make the world a better place by opening up the worlds lines of communication. In this day and age we have things like the internet and global communications systems. Yet humanity has not gotten past it's fundamental prejudices, our internal fear of the unknow as well as our unwillingness to learn, to grow, to change and better ourselves.

I would make the world a better place by introducing a school of thought that made intensive communication an integral part of both the local and world community. A system of behavior and cultural exchange that would not be something which is forced or imposed. Unlike some imposed moral systems, or religions or ideologies but something that is offered as a free tool if they are willing, and only willling, so as not to change those societies for the worse but to empower them and refine them with shared knowledge, ideas and concepts. So that we can think beyond the notions of stereotypes of bigotry and mistrust and to transcend the most difficult limitations we as a species have to cross, the borders that are in our own minds.

If we as a race can only communicate and show each other our basic simularities rather than our differences then we can find our common ground and when that happens, when we realize that we are all the same what malice can a person have against another due to steretypes and lies that we tell ourselves to make us seem "better" than another human?

Send our world leaders to pyschotherapy! lol the only way to make the world a better place is love and compassion. from love can compassion stems everything we hold dear to us. strong family, community, global community, environment, environmentalism. yiou get the idea. it starts small... if we could all decide to use compassion in our decisionmaking the world would be almost perfect. put yourself in their shoes, yeah you george BUsh, and you may have a different opinion about things. remember we are all more alike than we are different.

If there was one thing I could change in the world today it would be the ban on stem cell research. I’m a firm believer that Stem Cell research is just the natural evolution of modern medicine. In the last one hundred years mankind has wiped out disease, perfected organ transplants and lifted life expectancy from 40 years old to over 100 years old. Unfortunately like so many thing the religious zealots throw God into the mix and all progress stops. We have an opportunity and perhaps the tool to cure so many diseases and injuries. When asked by a friend if I would use Stem Cells I replied, I’d drink a 44oz slurpee everyday if I could live pain free!!
