I need help with lighting.

Hello Im Gigi,
I am a First Time Closet Grower And i was wondering if maby you could give me any good lighting tips. I am using 4ft. Phillips Plant and Aquarium Growing lights they are 40watt bulbs the closet is about5x5x2 i lined it with white plastic bags i was unable to find mylar, and i have 1 Trainwreck Seedling, 2 Sour Grape x Haze clones and 4 plants of some okay buds, is this too many plants for one space? should I pull the "aiite plants" and just grow the good stuff? i used miricale grow Spghagnum Peat Moss and Miracle grow potting soil
and my plants seem to like it - very perky.

You can vegetate your plants with the flouros you have but it isn't enough lumens for proper flowering, keep the flouros within an inch or one and a half inches. If you choose to go ahead, your buds will be rather fluffy and sparce. Genetics can only do so much and then it is outside environmental conditions like the amount of light striking the plants. I am curious as to the reasoning behind lining the closet walls with "white plastic bags" unless your closet isn't painted white already,than I understand. I see your in kalifornia do you have a medical "permit" or just growing for recreation? Good luck and good grows
