Hi all,
Yesterday I got the biggest and best shock in a long long time. And I'm still somewhat stunned and in disbelief. As I have mentioned before the Volcano has been a much coveted item on my 'want list'. Even my doctor prescribed one, in hopes that I could quit inhaling smoke when I medicated.
Well, I had been in contact with the good folks at vaporizers.ca and they suggested that since I was on such a tight budget, that I might want to try contacting Marco at TY, to see if he could "help" me out.
Well, after I checked out the site (and magazine) more thoroughly, and thought the vibe of most here to be pretty laid back, yet helpful, I thought I'd send Marco an email. I offered some help with the mag, and also mentioned that I was really interested in a getting a Volcano, but my situation prevented me from buying it at retail, and could he "help me in my quest".
Well, later on that day, Marco replied by email and asked me to meet him at a local cafe later in the week, and we'd talk about the mag, and oh btw, yes, "I'd be happy to help in your quest for a Volcano". Little did I realise that "help" to this guy meant, "yeah, sure come meet me thursday and the Volcano is yours!"
I'm still in shock! I met Marco and a couple of other TY friends and family yesterday at the cafe, sat myself down and we started chatting about the magazine and other things related to MMJ. Little did I know, that the tips of my sandals were grazing the box that brand new Volcanos come in, sitting at my feet and under the table; the box meant for me! :D Did I say I am shocked? Because I'm still shocked.
Anyway, after a bit more chatting, I asked Marco if the prescription I had for a Volcano from my doc would make it any easier to get one. A few minutes later he said, "well I have something for you....I brought you a Volcano."
I said "no"...he said, "yep" as he reached for the box at my feet. I said, "no" again. Being pleasantly shocked apparently diminishes my vocabulary. :p It's why I'm going to wait a few days before submitting a more comprehensive review, although I'll say right off that the learning curve on this beauty isn't steep at all.
As someone who used to smoke a lot of cigarettes, but has quit now for nearly two years, I love drawing off a joint, but I have to say, the vapor tastes much better, and there's absolutely no coughing. I've had many bouts of bronchitis and the good thing about that, was that it really motivated me to quit cigarettes. Now, I haven't had a case of bronc since I quit cigs, but still, smoking can't be good for you...no matter what the plant matter.
I am thrilled to have a Volcano. I think I'll be reserving smoking for times away from home. I'm all about vaping now! I can't tell you how moved I am by the generosity of Marco, the sponsors and fellow TY members I met yesterday. Not only was Marco generous, but another member sent me off with a nice bag of green medicine, as well as a sticky little brown ball to christian my Volcano with! Wow, I'm just floored. I guess when I compare this to some of my experiences with some in the community (not the TY community...but the medical marijuana one in this city), then you'd understand why I am so shocked.
I can't thank Marco enough. And the same goes for his buddy that sent me off with some meds. I've had a really rough few months, and this really lifted my spirits. So far, my Volcano (omg...."my Volcano"...didn't think I'd be saying that for a long long while) is working fabulously. And the first bag I drew from it felt close to like the first time I smoked cannabis, oh so many years ago. It was definitely more in the head, and I didn't feel as sluggish, as others have mentioned also.
I'll say more about it after I've had more experience, and different strains to try it with...thankfully Monday is just around the corner. And thanks to a fellow TY member I have enough medicine until Monday. The Volcano makes it last longer too. Wow, I'm still stunned. I can't believe I own one. WooHoo!!!!!.........:D
