way to go, freetheweed! norml is the premier "pot" organization in north america since the late 60s and early 70s. i am a norml canada "lifer" who attended the 10th norml convention in d c circa '79 (before raygun zap) as the norml canada "delegate". it was a gas; great time with great people, several of whom i have been in contact ever since. i was greatly impressed by "gatewood galbraith", the now - perennial candidate for governor of "kaintuck". unfortunately, norml canada couldn't garner the "public support" needed to be "effective" except in a few communities that had active "local chapters". this activist joined norml (usa) in '01 but, i've carried "my" '70s era "norml canada" membership card in my wallets ever since. norml is to the "marijuana movement" as "Marijuana Party" is to the "political component" every movement needs. it is impossible for "any" mainstream multi-platform political party to effect "meaningful and necessary reform". marijuana party is the ONLY political party with the motivation and the cojones to "fight" for our "rights." mp (can) has opportunities in 308 electoral districts (free's congressional districts) and needs 308 candidates to contest the next kanadian general election. we are in a position to assign each and every "unregistered electoral district association" (eda) to the two members in each eda who have the motivation, energy and cojones to register and operate the eda and contest every election every time. interested? check out www.marijuanaparty.ca. later bro'/sis.

Never a truer comment.
But what amazes me is alot of times those who DO bitch whine and complain about current affairs are NOT registered to vote and if they were they usually don't bother casting a vote!
An Old saying comes into play;
You are either part of the problem or part of the solution. ;)
Simple rule #1.
If you don't vote you can't bitch!

I agree, if you do not excersize your right to vote then you have no reason to complain. The same goes for those who vote for the same people who never truly do what they promise. Anyone can go to the government site and see how their elected officials voted on measures, and doing that let's you see who is really for the people, and those who are against.
