Medical Marijuana plants in a room that is 11 x 10 knowing that you need to be able to walk and or work with the plants using 8 1000 watt HPS and growing hydroponically 1 way or the other. Looking to do this as inexpensive as possible NOT including food as food has been taken care of. The 8 1000 watt HPS have cooling tubes.
The 165 plants will be coming to this room in rooted clone form already.
This is a legal grow room for 3 exemptees

what about flood tables? are they all the same basic age and size?

Yes we have considered flood table and the cuttings would basically be the same size but we are worried about the plants directly under the lights dominating the flood table

could always try to get some to donate a colisium or some omega gardens to you. tho start up on them if you have to pay for them yourself is prolly prohibitive. but that would solve the issue of preferencial lighting and the issues of space.

IF you know how tall the plants will be, you could use a 'staggered height' design to save space, go with DWC, and still have room to move, and tend the grow. If you are working with many different genetics, I don't think it's possible (10# in a 5# sack). It would take some time to really get all the specs but DWC, in 2 gallon containers, would be the only way (imho) to go. With 8- 1,000 watt cool tubes you have many options, including running the lights vertical.
I have a 'quick drawing' if interested in DWC.

How about tossing in a few linear light movers. Greenfire.net (the guys who make Earth Juice) has some pretty cheep ones that work well but are a bit noisy. If I recall they are about $125USD each.

in a prohibitively small grow area.....8X10. I am still using my beds as I DO PREFER SOIL GROWN POT. I also added an 8 inch elicient in line fan to help out with my original 4 inch, exhuasting approximately 900 CFM's. I also have a 9000 BTU portable A/C in the room exhausting heat. My temp is running a bit high at 95 but I remember growing in my living room and the temps being closer to 100. I think that with the intense amount of light you may get away with some distance from your plant canopy to your lights. A mover also works wonders against "hot spots".Get 4 light rails and this should help out with your hot spots. Exhaust is very important,,,,you want to have negative pressure in your room, that way it acts as if the room is actually breathing air from the outside into the room then back out with the heat.

Using cool tubes with a further 2k in separate 4-10 area. 650 cfm hurricane fan for large room, and 465 squirrel cage for the smaller area. Also blowing out main room with 550 cfm through wall fan. Main room is fed 6" Central air during summer and 4" dryer vent to pull cold air in the winter. All ducted with 6 flexable dryer hose. Since my children are monstrus (in my eyes) not sure about smaller plants in the same area...............temp running 26 on worst days in main room
Just my rambling bossman ..

did I tell you about my friends apolo 2, it's a 33 site aireo ponics hydro system, with 2-33 site add ons, buddy will trade for it or sell for half the listed price, it's 1400 for the 33 site unit and 750 each for the add ons, plus he has a 100 buck timer to throw in, the system is new in the box never used and he wants 1500 for the works, I talked to guy at the hydro shop and he tells me he pays that much for them so it's a good deal, but shy of the amout you want to grow, each 33 site set will take up about 4'x 5' for the first one with res and 4 x 4 for the add ons, if interested give me a pm

I would think a height staggered aeroponic setup could handle that volume in that space. Saw somewhere along the way where someone did exactly that setup, and it was very productive looking. Best of luck boss -- Stay Strong

The Staggered aeroponic setup sounds cool, if it could be done in your price range. I would also like to see some pic's of this setup as I am thinking of going areoponics for Robbin's grow this winter.
Let see a link or some pic's Please.

I remember growing in my living room
Share your space with your plants eh ;)
Marco, that's alot of plants in that small area. I'm stuck in soil, so I'd do a SOG, 1 gallon pots (8 inch diameter per pot).

It is on it's way. This week-end it is going to be wired and plumbed. Then the lights will be hung and then it is onto the tables. It will be a couple of weeks before it sees babies.

didnt you ask on another forum? so what have you decided on? 5 - 4' x 4 tables. or SOG? size of room? if yer 1100 sq ft. still then
8k is overkill. a waste of electricity. and fer plant height - grow to desired height and clip leader shoot off. you can do a SOG in 6" pipes 2' high = gives ya 3 gallons of grow space per.

vertical grow is the only way dude if you want overall growth and quality. I have seen a kickass system in bc, yields 12 pounds every 10 weeks w 235 plants
