Hey guys, my exhaust fan that I have has died out and I need to buy a new one asap. I'm lucky because my seedlings are on day 7 and my closet stays under 84 degrees, but I can't leave my door open because of obvious security reasons. I am going to buy a new Hydrofarm blower, but I just don't know which one. The 265 CFM will cost $10 less than the 465 CFM fan. Would the 465 be extreme overkill for a closet with the demesions of 3x4x10? Would the 465 be unbearably loud? The reason I ask is that when I move out of my apartment, I'm going to have a shed that I will be able to grow in, so it certainly wouldn't be overkill then.

Here are the links to them:

Either way, I will be able to use the 265 as an Intake fan once I have a shed. You guys tell me!

I have a Hydrofarm 465 blower. It is a loud fan. On the other end of the spectum I have an Elicent 100b like this one: Elicent In-line Fan (http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=7530747728&ssPageName=MERC_VIC_RSCC_Pr4_PcY_BIN_Stores_IT&refitem=160034845792&itemcount=4&refwidgetloc=closed_view_item&usedrule1=StoreCatToStoreCat&usedrule2=CategoryProximity&refwidgettype=cross_promot_widget)

In-line fans develop greater pressure and are much quieter than squirrel cage fans. They are worth the extra money if you need the quietest fan available.

get at least a 465 cfm--most are very quiet nowadays.
