Actually it is my first grow since I became a medical MJ user. I did grow many years ago as a teenager but not too much avail. The weed was turning out great but got ripped before it was ready. A common problem in the 70's. As well as now too.

So on April 8th I got two cuttings I was told were Lavender. I brought them home and they were 4 1/2 inches high. I put them in a home mix of organic soil (worm castings, perlite, peat moss, bat guano and PH adjusters). I vegged them until I noticed they were pre flowering (early May). (By the way I am growing these outdoors). Well because the days are so short still they went into flower. I decided if I had too I will cover them up every day so they only get 12 hours of light. They are now starting the 5th week of flower and look great. One is 21 inches tall and the other (that I topped) is 16 inches tall. They are frosting up nice and will give more than the 15 grams each that the breeder says they will. I hit them twice with a big bloom during flower sp far.

I am setting up an indoor grow for the future. I hope I can get some of the free seeds for that. I will always do outdoor every year though as I like outdoor organic buds. BIIIIIG BUUUUUDSSSSSS!!!!! :D

Thanks for the encouragement. I will keep it up. I just got a call from a friend of mine who is going to give me two small Godzilla cuttings. He does not know the pedigree. Does anyone out there know about Godzilla? It may be a local NorCal thing I don’t know yet. I can’t wait to get em though. :D

This is an update:

Here are some pictures of my Lavender Plants now starting week 7. They are getting close (suppose to be 8-9 week flower). Some of the calyx tips are now turning a very dark, almost black purple color. Very cool. Most are still green though.

Have you ever seen such strange looking leaves? Most people do not recognize it as a pot plant until they see the buds. I trimmed a lot of leaves off today so you can see the flowers better. Had some very large five finger leaves but most are three finger with two and even just one on some. I have tried to compare it with other picture of Lavender but can't find many. The breeders pictur does not show much except dark purple. Lots of it.

I can't wait to do my smoke report when this is ready. :D :D :D :D

That is the strangest looking pot plant! You're right...it doesn't look like MJ until you see the buds. Cool!

Wow! that is strange looking....like basil!

The nice thing about "weird" plants is they might be "special".. :)
Tight node spacing on those too. I can't wait to see how they turn out.

That's why the leaves are odd...re-vegging.

Nooley you may be right. I have been wondering why it is so strange looking. I have had the plant outside from the time I brought it home (they were just cuttings) but that could explain it. Do you think I should pull it or should I try to remove any male calyx or just let it go? It is for personal smoke any way so...

I would pull it before it herms///// dry it and smok it

My big concern is that it does not polinate my White Widow that is also outside and starting to flower. I took the two branches off that show signs of male flowers and will watch very close the rest of the two plants. I will pull it in a heart beat if it looks bad again. I have too many other plants too worry about. In fact I may just pull them any how.

Well I pulled the suckers about 10 days or so ago when I found some mold on some of the leaves. I have dried it and am letting it sit in trays for a bit to make sure I got all of the mold. Looks like about two ounces of pretty good smoke. I hope no more mold comes up and I will do a smoke report on it when I am sure there is no more. If anyone has any ideas to combat the mold please let me know. I think I cut it all out but....

hurry mate,if its not too late..mold is a nightmare, belive me and you just dont want that in your lungs...mate
for real...make some oil...thats what i would do..and no worries as it happens to the best of us..and keep going..we will get there togetter

No I do not want mold in my lungs. Oil was exactly what I was thinking yestrday myself. It seems to have gotton these two Lavenders but all the other plants are okay. Another plus to having the garden spread out a little throughout the yard areas. My White Widows and Northern Lights are well away from where these were and are very healthy.
