some more great art cricket!! :D:D You do have a knack for it!!

Have you done any "larger" pieces...and what i mean by that is say 6'X6' (36 total tiles) and do a large picture? Hope you followed that... I have great ideas and pictures in my head but have a hard time "putting them on paper" :D:D LOL

I have an 18 x 38" 100 piece koi pond jigsaw mosaic
a 3 - 12" tile wave
a 6 - 6" tile (12 x 18) wave
I've been working on a 17 tile 25" round bistro table top (celtic dragons), today will be day 3 of that carve and I have 1 tile left to carve, usually when you go larger the tile size is 4 or 6 inch unless you do jigsaw mosaics
I got a call a couple of days ago to go look at a 4 ft. x 4 ft. ceramic panel to see if I could duplicate it, might be difficult to get in to see the panel because it's in someone's home and may not even exist anymore, but I'd love to do it, it's of the Pacific rim cultures. I haven't done anything that large yet. Ultimately I'd like to tile large areas of walls, maybe shower stalls, fountains, pools, etc. The guy that wants the panel also wants a bunch of my petroglyphs for a backsplash. I started carving 4 and 6 inch petroglyph and marine life tiles about 6 years ago and thought I'd try to make a business of it. Mostly I've sold decorative framed pieces and just now getting into larger pieces. I've sold thousands of coasters and hundreds of 6" square framed petroglyphs and maybe 100 or so 6 x 12" framed carved hawaiian fish and other marine life. I want to design a large ocean scene panel for like a shower surround but I'm not there yet, piecing it together. One problem is if the business gets much bigger I will have outgrown my current location and then the overhead will start to get expensive so I need to make consistant big money to make that jump. It looks like that might happen tho, the art show will definately move me into the large panel territory for sales. I expect future sales to expand into and consist primarily of 12" square framed and 12 x 18" framed designs, tables, and maybe a larger commision work always in progress. But, that could also expand into having my own gallery, who knows. I'm 52 and long hours of carving wears on ya but I'm not dead yet.

If you have design ideas I'd love to see or tell me about them, maybe I can put them on paper at least for you. I have a volcano to go with that lava flow if I decide to get huge, no time right now to start a new big design like that tho with the show and this guys panel. I'd have a business selling pipes and bongs if I wanted but definately more fun and bigger money in the larger pieces. Sorry for dragging on, thanks for your interest

Sounds like you have a goal in site!!! I know there are people out there willing to pay some $$$ for work like you do... Good luck at the art show!!!

Bathrooms and fountains sound like the $$$ makers!! kitchens too!!
