When no one seemed to care, there she was. When I cried, she cuddled closer. I held her the night before her death and thanked her for being such a wonderful friend. Abby, you have been gone one year now and I miss you more each day. Rest in peace. Run after the "tree doggies" I hope to see you again someday.

its sooo hard because they are our friends, they love us without questions or conditions .... they just love us ... never met any 2 legged friends who could live up to that noble quality

Dykster...I feel your pain as I too am close to losing my constant companion for the past 15 years...he stayed by my side thru my bout with HepC...waited at home patiently when I had my liver transplant and was overjoyed when I returned from hospital. I've never had a friend that was truer than my Liffy. I will miss him greatly when he passes, and know that he will be in heaven when I arrive...waiting patiently...
