I read that a long, long time ago when I was a teen in Idaho. We grow tons of hops out there. It sounds too good to be true. Hops get really big and tall.
yup its a old book was a hand me down from my bro during the 70's......

It had a pic of a plant growing out of toilet, just like you say. I soooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo wished I knew then what I know now. You have no idea. One of my first attempts as teen I got a four footer in my bedroom, never bloomed cuz I'd just stagger in after days of kegger's and such and flip the lights on or off hap-hazardly. I had no clue.

grafting doesnt accually geneticaly splice two plants into one....
it connects a second plants to a host where it simply attaches to the feeding system and grows....the hops willl only stay a hops branch and may help camoflaugethe buds...but in the end you only have a pot plant with how ever many hops branches you put on...almost like just sticking a hops plant into the soil next to your pot....
they make apple, pear trees where half the plant make apples and the other half makes pears...they just start with two cuttings and graft them to a bare root mass.... each brach grows only what is was origonally... you could have a half pot half hops, or i would like a half pot half thai chillie plant....
hops is the closest relative to pot...and i think is one of the only other plants then pot thats got male and female plants.... i think....
if somethings too good to be true.. it may just be...:)
peace guys...
thanks NFT :) i found the same as you said in my serching found noone to conferm that the hops will carry any of the thc guess it was just wishfull thinking back in the day ...
yup that was the book leroy ... i always wanted to make that hydro toilet .....lol
You can graft hops to mj, but not the other way around. MJ is genetically more complicated then hops. The mj can code for proteins and such that the hops needs, but the hops cannot make all the proteins and such that the mj needs (hence why you can only graft one way).
Also, there are plenty of other plants that have male and female parts on seperate plants... the term is dioecious- having unisexual reproductive units (flowers, conifer cones, or functionally equivalent structures) occurring on different individuals; from Greek for "two households". Individual plants are not called dioecious: they are either gynoecious or androecious.
Hope that helps!:D

Never grafted anything yet myself, but my buddy's dad had a peach tree he grafted apricots to. Interesting was that the seed from the apricots (that were grafted to that peach tree) produced peach tree seedlings.
I bet your apricot was a hybrid. IE offspring would be quite different.
