Just thought I would share what we got zardoz (Gord) for his birthday.
In his birthday post, lriv let it slip that we were getting him a new dog. After we had to have Chewbacca put down...Gord has really been wanting another companion.
Well, the family decided to get another pet. Now as we believe in rescuing animals that might be put down, we always try the SPCA and the Vets first.
So luck was on our side....a few days after trying the vets as the SPCA wasn't coming thru...we got a call from a friend of ours. They just happened to have a 2 year old border collie X to give away.
I picked her up yesterday and brought her home. Her name is Mistletoe (Missy) and she is a partially disabled dog, just perfect for my partially disabled hubby. When Missy was born she was a breach birth with no humans to help....so Mom did what she had too...and unfortunately she bit off 1 1/2 of Missy's back feet...so she is a 2 1/2 footed dog. Now don't let that make you feel sorry for her, she is a high spirited dog with a hell of a lot of mobility.
Rosie our 10 year old Bull Mastiff has decided that Missy is tolerable and has decided she can stay.
So I thought I would share our new family member with you all.
Here is Missy and Rosie too...Hugs Uni ;)
