Wondering What The Best Way Of Flushing Drying And Curing Buds Is If You Harvest A Week Early. Can You Still Ripen Them To A Sweet Smoke If You Take Your Time With The Curing Process.

Wondering What The Best Way Of Flushing Drying And Curing Buds Is If You Harvest A Week Early. Can You Still Ripen Them To A Sweet Smoke If You Take Your Time With The Curing Process. I a new grower and harvested a week early (49-53 days), the smoke is still excellent I used a large window screen in hung up in my flower room and left them to dry, they took about 3-4 days to throughly dry with 38-43% RH and good ventalation in the flower room. I took 1.2 LT of buds and tryed this water cure method to cure them and it worked exceptionally well. They have a very clean taste and the ash burns white. I have found that both air cured and water cured get better with age and proper storage. This time I have the same strain and will let it mature longer, 56-60 days

I cut them at 51 days, buds nice fat and tight with tones of crystals. about 50% or maybe a bit less of the pistals are orange/lightbrown.
One strian I started from seed. Its definately a beautiful indica, short, stocky thick stems/leaves fat buds stinky and sticky itky itky, not sure what kind it is but its amazing looking, Indica dominant plants usually have a little shorter flowering time anyway ???? dont they?? the other two kinds white rino and purple kush from clone, the white rino I think is 60 days and the kush 50 to 60
I'm I right on that ??? does anybody know the exact flowering time for these strains??

yes thats sounds about right. I have a Black Domina strain and I havested at 49-53 but my friend that gave it to me says let it go 58 days.
I have a indica Black Star from Calaforina that takes 70 days, I'm told.
. I think the major factor is your envirment, tempature and RH, feeding and lighting and most important is your Ventalation. I been trying to find a microscope 30x-60x to check the Tricomes. What takes me 54 days may take you 48-70 days depending on strain and methods. Rule of thumb seems to be 70 % red hairs.

Any strain grown by two or more growers will probably have slightly different harvesting times depending on any and all growing factors.

I harvested my first grow early due to security issues. While the smoke was immature and the buds were relatively loose compared to fully matured nugs of the same strain; with proper drying and curing, they recovered well and ended up tasting great.

So to pose an answer - Yes harvest early if you must and don't skimp on the curing process to get good tasting early buds

Good tasting early buds are easy, IMP experience. effective early meds for most conditions is not. ADD and a few others that require more of a stimulent effect are the exception to this, IMPE.

This is day 50 for my crop. I don't have any yellowing leaves to speak of, should I wait for yellow leaves? The Tricomes seem clear to some cloudly and some are redish.(Could be lighting)
On half the plants I cut off all the large fan leaves today and will leave them. The other half I will leave alone with large fan leaves on till day 56. The hairs seem orange and not really red/brown yet. What would you suggest on fan leaves? on or off?
