Interested to watch this. There is a strain going around my town that smells like a mix of stilton and my feet. I wonder if it is a cheese strain? Kinda the same high as ISS....that is killer zing off the bat with a nice body stone creeping up over 15 minutes or so. Good luck man!

Thanks everyone for stopping by to have a look, and for the kind words.
Hashimoto are you venting the homebox xl? or just leaving the flaps open? How do you like your homebox xl? i only ask because i plan on getting one pretty soon.
Currently just running the homebox with flaps open, canopy temp is 72F. A small fan blows fresh air in, no exhaust fan needed.(see pic) Lights still on 24/7, have been using 2 T5 fixtures, a New Wave 48 (4ft bulbs X 8) and a New Wave 24 (2ft bulbs X 4). Gonna swap the smaller fixture with my new t5 fixture, a Pioneer Sunleaves 48 tomorrow.
Before this grow I bloomed in the homebox, see this thread for the simple exhaust setup that kept it cool with flaps closed while running 1K hps:
http://www.treatingyourself.com/vbulletin/showthread.php?t=18648&highlight=Genetics
I like my homebox alot, I've heard a few members in the USA have priced the homebox xl for $250 USD, shipping included.

Not even 2 days later, yet you can see some small growth already. I forgot to include a pic of cheese6 seedling last time, and cheese4 seedling was topped since last pic. Cheese2 seedling doesn't look as nice as the rest, but it's still early.

Yeah im getting it for $224.95 at cheaphydroponics.com which is the cheapest i seen it for anywhere. I was going to go with a 600watt HPS but now im thinking i can put a 1k cooltube with a proper filter and ehaust fan with no problem after seeing your thread.

Sorry I haven't updated sooner, not much to see during early veg and been busy lately. It's 27 days since germination, cheese2 seedling is looking better but still the lankiest of the bunch. I took some cuttings from em all tonight and here's some before cut pics.

He will have a stall at the UK HEMP EXPO and I believe that he has been told about this thread. He isn't a member of TY as of yet but who knows maybe after the EXPO he will come and join us. I do know that he is thinking of advertising with us.

Day 9 of bloom and I'm left with 1 female and 1 male, thankfully since it's getting crowded here :) I'll plant the remaining 6 seeds soon, plant limits will increase after renewal goes through.
I kept seedling 3 (male) and seedling 4 (female) Only one turned out to be female out of 5 seeds that germinated.

Its so annoying that a man can obtain a cut of a special skunk#1 from the mid 1980's say he's unique hack it with afghani and still use same name and call himself a breeder not long later!!
This is 1 strain on the market that trueley shows influence of a name!
Cheese as it is is a clone only strain from a skunk#1 in 80's kept niceley ""NOT buy Big Buddah " buy alot more ppl than him he was just someone that saw the money side obtained a cut hacked afghani to it kept its name!
Fair enough maybe back cross herself but to breed in another indica and keep the name!?
Sativa wacked with a indica " The dutch option"

I understand, but someone had to do so eventually. Kudos to Big Buddha for being the first to do so publicly, if you're so bothered why didn't you do it first? I have only 1 female pheno now and can't base anything on that alone, but I do have 18 more seeds soon to be germinated. Keep you posted.

Again I have only 1 female pheno now, yes I told you it didn't have much of a smell, but certainly not 'no smell'
Still far from done, but Bob likes it.

Well I must say that he isn't the only breeder to have done this. Take a look around todays seed banks you will see plenty of strains that carry the same name but are from different breeders. I believe that the first company to do this was Nirvana. Besides he didn't call it UK Cheese he called it something else didn't he.
I have spoke with a few folks who grew out his seeds and were very happy with the results.

this herb from the photos above by monkey look like an afgan herb we had in 70's called cheeba, it had a reddish color to it but was such a tight bud it was almost like hash. One hit or maybe two and cough cough cough. It was the best herb I ever had. Even named a pet after it........
Sure wish I could enjoy that taste again, and the high it was better then afgan hash imo.
we paid 100 an oz for it when most herbs sold for 30. It made gold or panama red seem like dirt weed.
THose were the days

Slightly over fertilized, but fine lookin' lady none the less. I recognize the "rhino horned" leaves from my own tendency to give it food right too the edge at times.
Looking forward to the finish.

So true :) and even at light feeding 1200ppm peak there's some leaf curl, looks like the 'claw' from overwatering, but the pot is 2 gal and watered/fed by hand 1 1/2 litres every 2 days, if I wait 3 days they'd be totally dry and wilted. First grow of this strain, less nutes next time, can't wait to germinate the rest of these seeds.

Cheese is most probably the exspensivest but I dunno if tis best in uk??
Ive an origeinal clone from 1980's and shes great!
From the same mum as B Budda stole!
He was asking on a forum like this 1 mnth breader the next?????
Its only a special pheno from a skunk#1 batch in the 80's
And I did do cheese seeds but not in the game to make money!
Same with G13xskunk I own is from real breeder ! Never come from Government at all!
That was HT hypeing up a pheno that clocked 28%thc , Till then it was listed on the dutch catalogue! as G13xskunk-G13Xhaze etc!
Nev did have a strain that was that strain and was strong!
Mrnice seeds as a ltd eddition of these 20 seeds £35
