Marco has had this web-site going for at least 5 years now that I know of. He's got a great mag going and we have ton's of members both old & new. Alot of the old members are still here in the back-ground. I've seen less flaming, bitching and moaning, fighting and back-stabbing than at any other site, ever. We can truely be called a medical site for mj. It would be nice if with-in the next few months we can put together a rough chart showing the major illness groups and the readily available strains that help that particular ailment, with a sub-text noting a reputual and established vendor where that strain may be purchased. ie:................

Strains that make you hungry and help stomach problems, Aids, chemo, ect.
= Santa Maria, Blueberry, B.C. Chemo, ect....= Serious Seeds, Dutch Passion.
Strains that help with body pain. Back pains, muscle spasms, ect = Herijuana, Sensi Star, ect. = Paradise Seeds, Meduser.ca, ect

I know it is a varied personal and some-what hit and miss method of finding a strain that works for a particular ailment, but at least this chart could be a starting point. Just a chart with the major illnesses and major strains that commonly help could start a new member/patient on the right track before they get over-whelmed with it all. Now, narrow it down to bout 8 major strains that cover the most ailments, each strain proven to help a particular problem with relief for most people. Now, sub out one strain to a pair of old members to make 5,000 stable beans of that strain to be put away for when T.Y. opens it's medical seed-bank again. Get another pair of old-time or new knowledgable members to make 5,000 beans of the second strain on the 8 strain list. With-in a year, we have a solid medical strain base at the ready for when Marco beats his case. This link is a good thread...

Been working on this for a while. Actually, it's been sitting in my puter waiting for me to do something wit it. So here's a starting point, bad spelling and all.

Insomnia, Social Awareness, Emotional Stability: Black Domina, Butterscotch Hawiian, Trainwreck, Afgani, William's Wonder, Blueberry.

MS Neuropathic Pain / Urinary Incontinence: Trainwreck, Super Silver Haze), NYCD and Sour Diesel. For severe pain, concentrates may be required.

Digestive Disorders: Blueberry, Blackberry, Black Domina.

Nausea and Diarrhea and Cramping (including Menstrual Cramps): Blueberry.

Social Anxiety: Romulan, NL#5, Hindu Kush, OG Kush, Bubba Kush.

Stress: Heavenly Man.

Sleep and General Relaxation:Sonoma Coma, Lifesaver, Real Matanuska Thunder Fu*K, XXX, Legends Ultimate Indica, Sensi Star.

Alert, Cerebral: AK-47, Dankouver, Cambodian X Orange Peako.

Anti Depress & Anxiety, Sleep: Blue Moonshine, Jack Herrer, M-39, Herijuana.

Chronic Pain: Romulan, Shiskeberry.

Appetite Stimulant/Spasms: TY's Northernberry x Reefermans herijuana.

Joint and Muscle Pain: Legends Ultimate Indica, UBC Chemo x Grapefruit.

Thanks to TY members for their help in compiling this list.

Oh, please feel free to add to this list.
or the record:
Billiejack and what i have been calling willy jack from woodie are the same thing.

Chronic pain: Blueberry, reeferman's hashplant

appetite stimulant: Catalyst

Joint and muscle pain: Blueberry
White Russian-ak-47 x white widow-excellent for chronic pain and insomnia-M39 for chronic pain-Peace BigD
I use Original Blueberry for M.S. Chronic pain, muscle spasms and muscle cramping. I also use California Orange, believe it or not, for spinal pain relief. Does anyone know if the blueberry/Lowryder is as good, or close to Original Blueberry. I would like to grow some if it is.
i have tried blueberry of a couple sorts including what i do believe was actually dj short bb and it was a 9 or higher outa 10 for pain relief.
Catalyst: is good for Anxiety and Depression. I don’t really get the munchies from her though.
Purple Kush: helps my stomach and bleeds off my stress/anxiety

Slow train: ruins me for a good long while and my back pain just melts away
Romulan-munchies, sleep inducer
AK-47-pain relief, day dreaming, anti stress

Romulan: Pleasant slight mental high. *Great painkiller*/minor muscle relaxant. Aided sleep. My heart doesn't race at all on this stuff! Apparently, it has a lower THC content than many, and this may account for it's mellowness. Yeah! It also doesn’t make me feel 'stoned' or stupid.

Blueberry Kush: Medium pain control. Medium body high, STRONG sleep inducer. Knocked me out....twice.

Peak 19- Too strong! 1/4 of a puff made my heart race for about a half hour, and made me feel like I was going to be ill. I hate this crap!!

Mango+Durban cross: Decent painkiller, euphoric feeling, 'couch-lock'. Slightly 'stupid' high, and munchie inducer. Makes my fingers feel numb occasionally.

Trainwreck: Anti-anxiety. Muddled my thoughts a bit but not too much to be disturbing. Good painkiller. Slight heart rate elevation. Extreme munchie inducer.
We used Northern Lights about 10 years ago to help my ex- fiancée’s mother- who'd been through every medication around *and* an experimental brain surgery. =) I personally think Romulan works WONDERS for pain of all kinds.....although perhaps with a migraine you might try something really strong- like Snow White or White Widow......apparently, many people say you should go for Sativas for migraines (online source)....hmmm...in that case, I suppose you might wish to try White Widow first and then certain strains of Northern Lights.....I KNOW that one worked.
Please- write back and let us know how it goes- I'm going to mix some AK-47 and Romulan and enjoy and night bowl!
The Skunk#1 that was grown on the PainPal system is VERY relaxing for me, it numbs my chronic back pain and is a real easy on the throat smoke. Two reasonable sized bowls and I'm off to "la la land"
Nevles Haze is really good for psychiactric conditions, mood, and anxiety. I love Sensi-Star for it's ability to control muscle pain and nausea. It also has a wonderful aroma and taste to boot.
GDP = Purple Erkle x Big Bud

AKA "Grand Daddy Purple" AKA "RIP Grandaddy Purple" AKA "Ken's Grandaddy Purple".
RLS = SSH 1-2 hours before sleep in an edible has been effective for many folks.
I have said it before, the Amsterdam Bubble Funk has a way of getting rid of my HEADACHES when the pinched nerve in my neck acts up with those top of the cranium gems of PAIN. Without a doubt, better than any asprin ever taken, and with immediate relief. As a general pain reliever, this strain does little for my FIBROMYALGIA. For that pain, i rely on Bubble Gum, or Blueberry to get me the relief i need, for the most part.
COmidnightrider46...just wondering what kind of fibro pain are you talking about
this is msa,

Symptoms vary and depend on the particular form of MSA. Striatonigral degeneration is practically indistinguishable from Parkinson's disease; OPCA is characterized by progressive ataxia (an inability to coordinate voluntary muscular movements) of the gait and arms and dysarthria (difficulty articulating words); and Shy-Drager syndrome is characterized by Parkinsonism and a much more pronounced failure of the autonomic nervous system.

Striatonigral degeneration
Striatonigral degeneration is similar to Parkinson's disease, except tremor is much less common, and cerebellar ataxia (failure of muscle coordination) often develops over time. Pathologically, striatonigral degeneration is defined by abnormalities in the putamen and substantia nigra that are more extensive and localized than what is typical of Parkinson's disease. Other portions of the basal ganglia (the part of the brain that is responsible for organization of motor movement) are also involved. Striatonigral degeneration is often indistinguishable from Parkinson's, except that it does not respond to medications used to treat Parkinson's. MRI brain images may reveal severe degeneration of the affected structures and may provide additional diagnostic information.

Olivopontocerebellar atrophy (OPCA)
OPCAs are a group of disorders characterized by cerebellar dysfunction manifested by ataxia (imbalance and incoordination) and kinetic tremor. Kinetic tremor is rhythmic, involuntary muscular contraction that occurs during purposeful movement, such as touching your finger to your nose. Some researchers suspect that OPCA may have a genetic basis, but the clinical symptoms can vary considerably even among relatives.

The term "olivopontocerebellar" implies involvement and degeneration of the olives (structures in the medulla, part of the brainstem), the pons (part of the brainstem), and the cerebellum (area of the brain that controls coordination and balance). Symptoms may include the following:
Ataxia
Chorea (irregular, spasmodic, involuntary movement of the limbs or facial muscles)
Degeneration of the retina
Dysarthria (difficulty articulating words)
Dystonia (abnormal muscle tension)
Kinetic tremor
Neuropathy
Spasticity (state of increased muscular tone with exaggerated tendon reflexes)
Weakness
Shy Drager Syndrome
Shy Drager syndrome, also known as "multiple system atrophy with autonomic failure," is similar to Parkinson's disease, but impairment of the autonomic nervous system is much more severe. The autonomic nervous system controls involuntary bodily functions such as blood pressure; gastrointestinal motility; and bladder, bowel, and sexual function.

The most prominent symptom of Shy Drager syndrome is what is known as "postural hypotension." Upon standing or sitting, patients' blood pressure drops to such a low level that they get dizzy, lightheaded, or momentarily blackout.

Other symptoms may include the following:
Constipation
Diarrhea
Difficulties breathing or swallowing
Difficulty walking
Double vision or other vision problems
Erectile dysfunction in men
Generalized weakness
Heart beat irregularities
In coordination
Rigidity
Sensory changes
Speech impairment
Tremor
Urinary incontinence
Urinary retention
Postural hypotension can be treated by drinking plenty of fluids, increasing salt intake, limiting caffeine intake, and by wearing elastic stockings. It also may be helpful to sleep with the head raised to reduce headaches and dizziness in the morning. Medications such as flu cortisone and proamatine may be helpful in elevating blood pressure and preventing the dramatic decrease that occurs when standing.

afgani trainwreck -for my mind, muscles, pain
original u.w.-pain-
l.a. hogsbreath- pain, sleep, frontal lobe action
i don’t eat unless ingesting trainwreck good for that

Excellent, exactly the type of stuff I was looking for. I can already see that some form of Trainwreck, Blueberry and Romulan will be on that list.

we've run that chart numerous times over the years. the old standards are still holding thier own and I think a lot of the newcomers are just hybrids but we'll see. what we need is for a few very dedicated breeders to conduct research into the breeding for the various diseases and symptoms. believe me the company that takes this on will capitilize on the med market overnight. the fun part is always trying a new strain geared for your problem.

Where is the chart? Did I miss it?

There would need to be stable, dedicated breeders for any chart to remain valid. The way things are currently, with anybody thinking that a mixture of X+Y=Z, the quality of meds will move all over the place.

It would be excellent, say if once stable lines are established, cannabinoid testing like the type that Advanced Nutrients was doing for us could be resumed. This would go along way toward establishing legitimacy with a greater portion of the medical establishment.

As with anything, a person or group needs to start someplace. Anyplace, as long as it's a start. I just feel that Marco's old seed-bank helped alot more people that previously thought or reported. I know that years ago when I got my med order thru the club here, I was pleasantly shocked when some beans were placed in there as well. I thought if Marco had enought faith in me to send me a freebie, well, then by God, I was going to try my best to grow them and be self-sufficant. I'd like to get a jump on it for when he wins the case. Maybe things will never be like the used to be, but no matter what, everybody is still going to need stable, strong genictics that can be depended on to grow as stated and if the seed bank is to be filled it might as well be with strains to have the most common denominator for medical uses. A knock-out indy, a racy sativa and hybrids that have proven to the largest number of med users to have benificial effects. In other words, to make a long story short, please name the top 3 medical strains of all time and I will quietly set about gathering the originals and make enuff beans to sink a battle-ship.

So what you want is a "grass roots" seed bank. Send in med seeds and even if they are f2 or whatever, one could find a mother in there to keep. The worste home grown is still better than buying it off the streets. Just my opinion. I would donate and trade.

then again....leroy would know everything and we would have to kill him.....lol. Just kidding dude.

Well, yeah, but it gets kinda complicated in a way. It's not so much the beans them-selves. We all know people that are sitting on piles of quality beans. It's the process of getting them to the people that need and would use them as opposed to people that just get them cuz they are free. Bean-collectors as it were. Much akin to clone whores. Anyone that comes to my Fort is always welcome to recieve beans and various other items. But for me to sit down and mail out stuff to a person, it would be nice to know that it was going to be used and not gathering dust in a drawer. But, that is the risk you run and in the end, probably more than worth it. You don't quit base-ball just because you strike-out a couple of times... Check this thread out...

So...we will need a secrete hand shake.

It's a good thought leroy.

Our good neighbor's to the north are a pretty smart bunch of folk. I'll bet they already have a secret hand-shake. U.S. has a smattering of med states, Spain, Swiss and Nederlands can cultivate, maybe it's not as bad as we thought. I guess the help and knowledge to grow the beans is as everybit if not more important as well...Let's me, you and Nooely make a Super-Plant, capable of smoking G.M. out. I've heard he holds the record for being the highest on pot before. Something to do with running down the streets ala' natural'...Scratch that, let me re-phrase to be politically correct. I have heard of a member here that was so extremely medicated and relaxed after utilizing his Volcano to it's fullest extent that he felt the need to express himself fully & openly to his immediate surroundings... That's better...
