I would like to start/fund a charity that sends used Pressure Cookers(in working condition), Spawn, LC syringes, and growing manuals, to people in third world countries, and poor people/students etc in the first world.
I believe if I handled collecting pressure cookers and printing materials in my area, and made syringes, and other people from other areas did the same, we could really have some serious momentum. :)
We could help those in our own respective countries, but the real need is in places like Africa.
Though I do plan to donate lots of mushrooms to the local food bank.
People in the third world need a simple way to turn agricultural waste and various easy to obtain materials into high quality food.
So I think it's obvious which organism fills this niche perfectly...... Mushrooms. B)
I'm wondering what organization I could partner with, eventually,just to to find out where I should be sending the free stuff for maximum benefit. And that's something I will consider carefully.
Also, this will all be out of my own pocket.
Even if you don't want to help, advice would be appreciated.
I will be also sending this to my local mushroom club.
The idea would be to have people copy us, as much as possible. I don't care if they start their own thing or join us.... as long as the right materials are moving in the right direction and people are getting a chance to help themselves they didn't have otherwise, we've succeeded. ;)
