get some isoprople alcohol fill er up and shake er around rinse er out with room temperature water if strait isopropyle wont work do alcohol and rice

course pickling salt works really well too in place of rice for grit...but do not use iso alcohol on any of my gourd pieces...only natural cleaners...they are organic after all ;)
