That I won't be attending HEMPFEST this year. I have looked at my finances and I just can't afford to attend. I also have my plate full with getting the magazine printed so I have to be home to recieve the proofs and sign off on them.
So for those of you who will be attending this years HEMPFEST please have yourselfs a GREAT TIME

Hey Marco....Thanks for taking the time to help all the patients with your continued effort to put out of the best mags on Marijuana, and the story's from all the readers are an inspiration. I too do not have the funds to attend, and have wanted to make the trek to Canada, for so long. I am closer to the Seattle Hempfest, but that too will have to wait. I would love nothing more than to make the 3000 mile journey next year, and help out at your booth. I have made my self a promise to do everything in my power to save money for a trip of a life time, and come to visit all the TY friends. Looking forward to 2008.

Hey, we really should consider having a hempfest in the south part of Ontario. I live on 100 acres of beautiful wooded land with pastures that would be ideal. Perhaps next summer. Open to any ideas.

Then I think I will start planning for a hempfest in southwestern Ontario. I live about 1/2 hour from London, 10 minutes from Woodstock. I've never organized large events so I will be looking for "old-hands" this winter to help pull it together. There is plenty of room for tents, toilets, fires etc. and trails cut through 60 acres of woods. If anyone would like to be a part of this anticipated event, please let me know. Something to dream about in the dead of January and February perhaps.

i'm sure that you will many that would be interested in helping out with this event. i have organized a large event or 2 in the past but not a hempfest. what i found when i was planning my event was not to clash with other event dates. keep it away from other events as people only have so much money and can only attend so many events in a short time. my advice is to keep it away from the northern date to avoid conflicts.
would i attend? count me in (as long as i'm not sick like this year once again)
something tells me a southern hempfest would be a huge success

I am Brantford, so count me in...I know Shake Down Street in Kitchener does a weekend party up near Mount Forest, ontario...I think it is coming up this weekend.
I know a local Reggae, pro-pot band that would do it...there is one act booked ;)

The GTA and golden horseshoe is one of the largest urban concentrations in North America...this is what I said to Marco...if we could have a big event here...it has the potential to outdo woodstock (US)...hahahaha...what a coinkydink...you are in Woodstock...lol.

I think it is a swell idea. I would hold it exactly at the same time of the year. People that could make not perhaps make the Northern Hempfest could make a Southern one because of travel allotments (driving so long). I would have a difficult decision to make then. It is still a couple weeks away perhaps things will simmer down enough to get away even for the Saturday!

Thanks for the responses. I will put it out there again in January or February, requesting assistance from all those experiences organizers out there. I think it would be awesome. I love our property for its serenity and beauty and it would only have more good karma from the attendees.
I'll attend anything in Ontario!

i am sorry to say that i wont be attending hempfest as well. i will be in toronto area between 23/26 so hopefully i can at least catch up with a few friends that i have made here @ ty.
i really wanted to attend but my wife has a very bad back and for me to ask her to drive 13 hours in a van would be selfish of me....she want s to go but i know just the ride to toronto will put a strain on her.
she cried this am when she realized that it was so far and she said i could drop her off in toronto and i could continue my trip as she knew that it meant alot to me. that was not even an option, i would never concider that....am i a lucky guy or what....she is the best thing thats ever come into my life.
so hope you all have a awesome time, and i guess next season i will be making arrangements to come solo....

I don't know if you have been to or are familiar with Toronto, but it is an amazing city and you won't be disappointed...the varied cafes offer safe and interesting starting points.
