Hello was wanting some insight from some more experienced individuals about starting a grow room. The room is 8ft long x 6ft wide x 8ft high. I have some supplies 400 watt hps for budding and wanna use fluoroescents for cloning and veg. I have 4 48 inch cool whites for cloning and a set of 4 48 inch full spectrum bulbs for veg. I have a cloning machine as well. I also have an ozone genorator to combat smell and 4 inch vortex fan + hose running to chimney to be blasted out roof. Id like to grow "sea of green" method. Can someone please let me know what else i should get for the room setup. Was also wondering how many moms i would need and how many plants for each growth stage to maximize my room size. This room will have to be used for both cloning veg/ and budding. This would be my first time trying this method so all the feedback is welcome please share your knowledge so i can set this up properly..... thanks

There are several products on the market to maximize you light but flat white paint work almost as well as most of these products. Paint the walls and the roof (not the floor) with a good flat white paint that you can wash easily.

If you do not have a MH light for veg you can use your HPS. It does not work as well but it does work.

Good luck and good growing!

Floros can work well for veg but I would suggest that you at least double if not triple what you give them in the propigation area for the veg area when it comes to amount of light. finally, a 400 is ok but you be leaps and bounds happier with that set up if you had a 600 on a mover.

Sorry for the long delay in answering, I have been camping for the last 4 days and I just got back to my computer.

I would not paint the floors as the light will bounce back up off the floor and this could burn the tender underside of the leaves.

Hope this helps and good luck and good growing to you all!

This has been used by me for over 5 years now and I must say, it does an excellent job for the effort that is required.
