I Have An Acer Aspire 3620 Series And Was Wondering If Anyone Had The Recovery Disk. I Had It Stollen And When I Got It Back They Had Changed The Bios Password Along With The User Passwords And The Police Are Saying Contact The Retailer And They Are Saying Contact The Police. Can't Afford To Pay To Have It Fixed. It's Been 5 Months Now:(

changing the bios password is easy simply move a jumper on the motherboard. a user account password is easy also as there is software to detect all user accounts and also change the passwords to the accounts. these folks offer a free service http://www.raymond.cc/blog/archives/2006/09/01/recover-windows-login-password-within-minutes/ and i'm sure there is some pay stuff out there also.

I had an Aspire. The screen spontaneously died on me, wasn't fun.

rev.clone is right; if I remember correctly, you just need to unscrew the bottom screws and expose enough of the motherboard to find the BIOS battery (Just a small, circular battery). If you can't find the jumper needed to reset the password (Check your manual), try taking that battery out for five minutes. Should reset that (and a bunch of other settings; it might give you a few errors initially until it autodetects all the hard-disks. Use this as a last resort.).

Failing that, send me a PM and I'll find a way to get you my old recovery CDs.
