I am not sure of the spelling, but has anyone read it? I feel like I am living the book. I have dropped quickly from 163 pounds to 130 pounds...and it doesn't appear to be stopping anytime soon.
They tell me they suspect 'a' cancer is my bladder, but they don't know what todo about it, since cutting it out did no good and it just grew back.
I am still in remission from my Kidney Cancer but only recently did I learn that my brain aneuryisms could cancer related.
Anyways, my weight plummets, the doctors give me 'boost' YUCK!
Meanwhile, one doc I saw said 'it doesn't matter how much you eat, the cancer metabolism is so fast, it won't stay on. Well, I gained five pounds a couple weeks ago, but got sick and lost ten.
I just wish I could get some 'straight' answers to some of my questions, but that doesn't seem to always be the case.
In the meantime, I live an everyday 'thriller' as I watch with horror as my weight plummets and I feel helpless.

ain't that the truth mamahawk! :D
Coco my heart is yours, and it hopes there were something one could do besides vibes and love aimed your way. Although I hope you have looked else where than the official word from medicine. Was wondering if you have ever heard of this wonderful practice called Gerson Therapy. This was developed by a doctor named Max Gerson who is considered one of the major geniuses of medicine for our time. In the last 60s he developed a physical diet and living regimental therapy to specifically cure cancer and many other illnesses caused by our body absorbing the many carcinogenic chemicals that are in our every day lives. Once fully developed this therapy not only is proven to work and cure many types of cancer for most people, it also helps with auto immune disorders and gives a lot of energy.
The basis of the therapy is to expunge these chemicals from the body all together, giving the kidneys, liver, and digestive system a clean slate to start fighting the illness in the body. The practice revolves around drinking at least a pint of fruit/veg juice per day, and doing other practices to keep ones system clear of cancerous toxins.
Here is the link to their site http://www.gerson.org/about/default.asp
and the wikipedia page about the therapy http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Gerson_therapy

Slater, it is good to know someone else has read the book too. Only then, can you really understand the pit of fear in the stomach when one steps on the scales and in spite of eating poutine, pizza and other assorted crap, weight is down.
Thank you MamaHawk for your encouragement. You are right. A positive attitude can go a long way.
Hanuman: This must be a guy after my own heart. I started drinking massive amounts of juices to see what would happen and my health was much better. I can't remember why I stopped, but I am going to start again and thanks for reminding me.
Sorry to hear things are acting up again, Coco. You've had more than your share of trials and tribulations.

But Hey Groo......I haven't had a body like this since I was young.......I mean like over twenty years ago at least......you should see the neat clothes I bought this summer...I wore two outfits all summer though.....now fall is coming...and I can't wait to wear 'off the hanger'. I even wear hipster jeans. I used to be a fatso and well over 180 pounds, although I am only 5' and half inch with a small frame! Good bye Penningtons and hello malls. Off the rack. I never thought I would see the day. Bra size gone from 44D to 40C. I look great in a bikini! (and I will soon be 56) And the best part is...I am STILL ALIVE to enjoy it!
So, there are perks after all.:D
Now, if only I could get well enough to go out and show off my new bod. Sigh.
(positive, thanks to mamahawk...good advice....)

Ever had an intern ask ya for dinner lmao!!!! My oldest son was sitting next to me. What a day that was indeed. Don't fret the lard! There was a time not that long ago I was praying that every ounce of pinchable pleasure would stay put. Just be careful and not loose to much.

A skinny girl, that’s
My ideal dish
I like them thin
And I like them lean
Because it takes a waif
To keep me keen
A skinny girl that’s
My ideal treat

The sweeter the meat

I am uplifted by your ability to take Mamahawks advice and stay up beat. Your posts (since the first one) seem encouraging and lighter. It is this act of being able to set aside that which makes us feel ugly and worthless (illness does this too) to speak of the good that gives you such dignity cocoa.
May you have one day of sunshine where you are feeling well enough to stroll the beach and feel the "strut" come back into your legs as your head is held high and your breasts are tugged up in that bikini top!! I'm jealous as heck...though I rarely eat more than one meal every two days I continue to be fat cow. I am 210 on a 5' 6" frame......I am ok with me....but every time a kid calls me those words above I feel smaller....and not in a thin way. Good thing I have good muscles to carry it all. Now if only someone could find me a new spine!

Thanks, but my blood work was done recently and I have the proper level of synthroid in my system, but thanks for the idea.:)
I think it could be the new pills they put me on are not helping. One of the big things is nausea when you are ramping up on them. However, since vomiting isn't included and I do it first thing in the morning, I am going to call my neurologist about this medication tomorrow.
I have to try something.
coco artist - that book was very scary
I am hoping they figure this out for you... one thing maybe to try is tea made using fresh ginger root pressed through a garlic press into hot water and adding honey - it stimulates your digestion so what you are eating might count...???

Excellent attitude! And an inspiration to anyone who might be feeling negative.
I can relate in that I used to be 220lb firefighter who loved to eat and drink (beer gut)
I have transformed into a slim 165 lb'er. Ensure is now my 'sole' souce of nutrition and with my cannabis, I'm able to tolerate the ensure well and maintain this weight.
A good fighting weight ;)

I have read thinner and I can honestly say I cannot imagine the fear that the rapid weight loss has caused you. I pray that your health improves and your positive outlook on life does not change.
