View Full Version : Cannabutter Question?
When you use bud for making cannabutter does it have to be cured? Like dried and aged? I am close to running out and the little bit of bud I have is still quite wet.
Thanks in advance!
Neal.

Wet buds and bud leaf all can be used. Heat on low temps ie 150f for about three days and most of the water will gone. Squeeze out as much butter as you while it is warm. Use gloves if to hot to touch. A crock pot on low works OK.

The answere is no it does not have to be cured, the heat in the process should decarboxilate most of the cannabinoids that have yet to do so by drying out.
Thank you pflover and clinton!

What types of butter will work? Would vegetable oil work?

in my experience any butter will work but high fat no salt butter seems to work the best.
there are recipes for cannabis infused vegetable (olive, canola...) oils out there as well.

I agree:D
I prefer dry material myself Neal but good luck with it.
I'm going to be doing a tutorial on canna butter making soon with pics and stuff, so hope it helps some.
