My exlady (still crying over that) finds that Joey Weed's Apollo-11 and DJ Short's Flo to be the best for her condition (depression and bi-polar). And on her "manic" days Sensi Seeds Hindu Kush seems to take her down a notch, not good on her depressive days though.
I freakin' miss her.

yes I have schizophrenia and find I cant always toke.. depending on how medicated I am on Rx drugs for it and ... depending on the weed..sometimes things that knock others out.. wake me up...
... Good luck on finding the right strains...
Peace
I smoke indica dominant strains, but I have more of a problem with mania than depression. Besides I don't find that indica strains make me depressed, they just slow down the thinking a little.

I´m depressive and bipolar. Havnt found one strain that works both in manic and depressive cycle.
I agree that Apollo 11 is ok for bipolar - you can use more sativa pheno during depressive state, and indica pheno during manic state (allthough not enough stopping power for me :) ). Both phenos have some depression relief.
Here are few strains that have helped me with bipolar and depression.
Durban Poison, PPP (Durban Poison x White widow), Jock horror, White widow, NYCD x Williams wonder, Northernberry.

I know someting that works well for cannabis induced panic attacks. Water, benzos, and a shower work for me if I ever get one. The main thing seems to be getting my body low to the ground and slowing my breathing.
Ok then. I really wouldn't recommend benzos to anyone but if you already take them...
