Hello, I have been slow at doing this to say the least, I am 44 guy who lives in Northern Ontario, my wife passed away after a long battle with breast cancer in 2003.

I raise yorkies and have 4 great little friends and one big one, Peggy, Sue, Buddy and Holly, plus an old dependable rottie named Reagan

I was a little disappointed when my first signature failed to result in a card, they said doc filled out wrong form, but have just gotten the new and improved forms signed sealed and mailed to health can(this time with proper reasons, last time doc put down, server wt loss anerxia, lol, I am over 200 lbs)

I developed hep c after being stabbed 9 times by a junkie in Calgary in 91 and have done treatment once back in 97, but did not do it long enough it seems.

I was knocked off a bridge footing by a concrete bucket during a pour in 2000 and broke my neck, I was partially parilized for over 4 months until operation brought back most of the use of my right arm and hand, funny worst pain is from donour site on hip for bone graph. I graduated from Seneca college in toronto from the civil engineering tech program in Oct of 2004, only to find out that the hep c had returned the day before grad and my liver was swollen to a 4. I can not take regular narcotics because of the condition of my liver after 4 years on ms contins and find mj helps a lot for pain, plus it got me off the morphine with out a lot of painful withdrawls.

I enjoy reading the post on this site, it makes me feel not so much alone in my troubles, since I grow my own, I don't let many people come over for fear of being discovered, am more worried about getting ripped of than having leo kick down door. I figure if its leo, I might get my card faster.

anyway not much good at talking about self, but at least this is a start, hope to get to know more of you

hi clearhead and welcome: I too have a dog, the only thing in this world I trully can trust, never yells at me when I'm late, always glad to see me, and smart enough to hide when I'm in pain, lol clever dog eh?.
I read that used mj to get off morphine. how long had you been taking it and at what levels before you quit? I'm at 900 mg/day of slow release mssr. I would like to reduce this obviously, but it has slowly gone up over the last 23 years of getting through osteoarthritis and surgeries.
check out all the contests held each month, you can enter immediately in all or some, your choice. lots of good info available for the grower here, as well as a meriad of diseases to share your story with.
If I can help get you settled in here, just pm me.

When I first broke neck, I was on 400 mg a day untill my surgery and then got down to 200 mg, thats 100 twice a day, with mj mixed in for good measure. A friend of mine works as an addiction councilor and told me that if I was to take methadone, it would take much longer and would still shake it rough at the end, so I chose to cut down and use mj instead As more mj became available to me I reduce down to 60 mg, but did this slowly taking a month or more, using 100 mg during day and 60 mg and big joints at night.
It was Oct. when i found out liver was shot again, so dropped down to 30 mgs, good thing I was already growing my own supply or never would have been able to get the cash to buy meds. Took me 3-4 months, but finally got down to one 30 mg a day, then it took a couple of weeks of shaking it rough to get it out of system, would never have been able to do it without mj.
Hope this helps, but I had to get of morphine because of hep c and my liver, it's a tough nut to crack that ms contin, you need a good steady supply of good bud to get through

Welcome to TY and how much does one of them go for?

14u

They are pretty expensive, 1000 for the males and 1500 for the females, I use to sell a bit cheaper, but found that with one problem which reqires a vet and you lose money, end up having the dog and yourself go through all that work for nothing.
Had a problem with Peggy's last litter, only 3 pups, so they were quite large for her and needed an operation. After selling the pups, I was down over 2 grand.
I now know why they sell them for 3000 in toronto, I will advertise in the toronto star in the middle of Aug.
