1 pounds fresh mushrooms, sliced
2/3 cup sliced green onions with tops
2 tablespoons butter or margarine
1 tablespoon fresh lemon juice
1 tablespoon flour
1 cup dairy sour cream
2 tablespoons chopped fresh dill or 1 tablespoon dill weed
1/4 teaspoon salt
1/8 teaspoon pepper
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
1. Saute mushrooms and onions in butter and lemon juice for 4 minutes.
Stir in flour. Cook slowly, stirring 1 minute. Add sour cream, dill, salt,
and pepper. Cook and stir 1 minute.
You can either smoother roast chicken with this as a sauce or roast the chicken right in this sauce.
ENJOY!!! :D

As I sit here holding my plain turkey on white bread........I dream of 6pm when I'm going to the market to get the ingredients for this....rumblin' in my tummy! yum.
I think one of the pre-roasted chickens they sell, plus this sauce will be killer.
And it's mushroom fest at my local market! Maybe pickup some chilled beet soup too...
Thanks Grant!

You know it would GM, I've had chicken breast and thigh poached in broth and then simmered along with above sauce and mushrooms.

You are in for one helluva good meal. I'm envious but it's too hot to cook indoors.

Help. I've eaten and I can't get up!
That was delecious.....I used a small portobello, a few porchinis and some white button in a double batch of sauce. I sliced up 2 roasted chickens and added then halfway thru the cooking....along with a extra bit of fresh dill.. Wow what a great dish!
I suppose if I vape before bed I will be up for 2nds or 3rds - while on midnight fridge patrol :D
