I just bought a Vapor Brothers handsfree unit and I'm pretty impressed with it. A while back, I bought a Vapor 4.0, and I was really disappointed with it. The unit leaked air in many places and every draw tasted like the smell of swimming pool vinyl. I even boiled the whip and added spearmint the water to get rid of the taste. I would use the bags and use the whip and found it difficult to really get any effect with either.

The Vapor Bros construction seems more solid and less cheap looking. The lights are pretty groovy and after I figured out how to get it to hit "just right", which took a little while, I found that I couldn't tell the difference between vaping and smoking. Most other times that I vaped it always seemed to be a weak high and kinda missing something. It seems to conserve more herb, but not really much more. The best thing about it is that I can still ride my bike and exercise without getting winded so easily. My throat used to burn a lot, but not as much now.

After I got the vapir 4.0, I was so bummed I threw it away. Somebody said I was stupid for not selling. I told him I couldn't sell it to anybody in good conscience... lol.

It disguises as an air freshener pretty easy with the aroma bulb it comes with.

I google phrases like "vapor brothers sucks" and couldn't find any posts from dissapointed customers. I found plenty of people dissapointed with vapir. I hear people like the mini unit though..? Most websites seemed to say good things about vapor bros, including a lot of you guys.

The vapolution looked pretty cool but seems strange to have a vertical whip and not have to grind the herb. The volcano was obviously out of my budget. I'm overall pretty happy with the vape. I hear some elements burn out quick... hopefully I'll have better luck.

One thing I learned about my unit, It's good not to ground it too fine or it'll start to burn. Also I have a little spritzer that moistens the weed... seems to help. When I remove the whip to stir the contents, I spritz the contents then tamp it back down lightly. As the water boils off it releases even more active ingredient, just take care not to let it burn. Using scissors to cut the herb has given me better vapor, I think. Hard to be certain.

At 150 it seems like a good deal. I thought it was worth mentioning :)

Happy Vaping,
Plode(ask me why I picked the name)

It worked great for a while but the ceramic heating element began pitting. I started getting some lung pain even when the unit was thoroughly cleaned. I removed the heating element to see if there was any residue and noticed that chips were missing from the white ceramic heating element. I remembered seeing white flecks stuck in the bend of the whip. How this could have happened I can only speculate. I never dropped the unit or anything. It still worked but the thought of inhaling mineral dust with already tired lungs did not appeal to me. This unit is retired. A rubber grommet or whatnot is seating directly next to the heating element to keep it from moving and presumably from chipping from movement. Since non-metal heating element is supposed to be a selling point it seems odd to be heating up rubber. Lot's of folks are happy with theirs.

That doesn't sound good. I've used a VaporBrothers myself on various occassions, and always believed the heating element to be very safe.

Have you contacted the manufacturer yet?
