I ordered some Northernberry back in July.

Got the seeds less than two weeks after I mailed them the order.
Their stealth shipping is definitely one of the best I've encountered.
It initially ended up in my junk mail pile. Imagine my surprise when I got around to opening it and found mj seeds.

The seeds themselves were a big disappointment.
I ordered from them because of all the positive comments I'd seen here and now I suspect I should have paid more attention to the negative comments.

My intial reaction was, "These look like old seeds."

I'm used to seeds being smooth and shiny but on all 12 of these ... the husk, or membrane that surrounds the seeds was cracked and peeling.

I decided, "You can't judge a seed by it's membrane." ... and figured I better try to pop a few before jumping to any conclusions or firing off an email to peakseeds.
Of the two I selected, 1 didn't sprout at all and the second opened but never put out a tap root.

I stil didn't feel justified in complaining since 2 outa 12 isn't really definitive.

I wasn't planning on planting these until mid september so I stashed them away and kind of forgot about them.

My fall grow was supposed to a combination of Northernberry and me using up all my old stock of seeds ... some of which I've now had for a year and a half.

I didn't remember the Northernberry seeds until I had sprouted almost all the other seeds ... at which time I added them to the mix.

To my surprise ... 5 of them sprouted.
Normally 5 out of 12 would not be considered a good showing ... but I had pretty much written them off and really wasn't expecting any of them to sprout.
These really were some ratty looking seeds.

Of the 5 that sprouted 1 died after about a week, another is a runt and the remaining three look like they could do some serious damage.

So even though 3 out of 12 puts them at the bottom of my list ... it's better than I was expecting.

If even one of them is a female and the finished product is as good as advertised ...

Sorry to hear this, but since growing experience and conditions vary its too hard to rebuttal. If you received a pure white, dead seed our bad, but that's never happened. ...any issues we've had are absolutely out numbered by the countless accolades that its a non issue. Challenges arise, its the nature of any business, but we always go above and beyond to satisy. Those who know us know. ...plus, we can't possibly keep up to all the forums and the postings, always email us!

The seeds you received were the last of the NB at that time and did not have the wicked characteristics (very dark, "tiger eye/striped"), however, they are dark in color and will work. We never use old seeds!

I've pm'd you.

Peakseedsbc- Thanks for backing up your gaurantee, I have always known your company to have top genetics. It's good to see a company talk to their clients in a professinoal matter and make it known on a public forum. I look foward to ordering from you in the future,

When was the new batch of NorthernBerry produced? I would like to order, but I want fresh stock.

Well, all 3 of these turned out to be female.

So my satisfaction quotient has gone up a couple of notches.
Compared to some high end (read, expensive) genetics I treated myself to last year ... I ended up with the same amount of females for half the price.

Peakseeds offered to send me some replacements ... true to their reputation of being a company dedicated to customer satisfaction.

Unfortunately though they never arrived.
It's now been almost two months since I received an email telling me they'd shippped ... so I'm guessing they got lost or confiscated somewhere enroute.

For now I'd say I'm satisfied ... and would consider ordering from them again.
Though that will depend on the quality of the finished product.
