I ordered some Northernberry back in July.
Got the seeds less than two weeks after I mailed them the order.
Their stealth shipping is definitely one of the best I've encountered.
It initially ended up in my junk mail pile. Imagine my surprise when I got around to opening it and found mj seeds.
The seeds themselves were a big disappointment.
I ordered from them because of all the positive comments I'd seen here and now I suspect I should have paid more attention to the negative comments.
My intial reaction was, "These look like old seeds."
I'm used to seeds being smooth and shiny but on all 12 of these ... the husk, or membrane that surrounds the seeds was cracked and peeling.
I decided, "You can't judge a seed by it's membrane." ... and figured I better try to pop a few before jumping to any conclusions or firing off an email to peakseeds.
Of the two I selected, 1 didn't sprout at all and the second opened but never put out a tap root.
I stil didn't feel justified in complaining since 2 outa 12 isn't really definitive.
I wasn't planning on planting these until mid september so I stashed them away and kind of forgot about them.
My fall grow was supposed to a combination of Northernberry and me using up all my old stock of seeds ... some of which I've now had for a year and a half.
I didn't remember the Northernberry seeds until I had sprouted almost all the other seeds ... at which time I added them to the mix.
To my surprise ... 5 of them sprouted.
Normally 5 out of 12 would not be considered a good showing ... but I had pretty much written them off and really wasn't expecting any of them to sprout.
These really were some ratty looking seeds.
Of the 5 that sprouted 1 died after about a week, another is a runt and the remaining three look like they could do some serious damage.
So even though 3 out of 12 puts them at the bottom of my list ... it's better than I was expecting.
If even one of them is a female and the finished product is as good as advertised ...
