This is a great site for the Drug Policy Alliance network -- their Action Center.
http://actioncenter.drugpolicy.org/action/
You go there and read up on the terrible laws and other nefarious activities of the neo-con freakshow. The you can input your name, address, etc. plus your email. After that, just by inputting your email in association with a specific issue, you can have a letter sent in your name to the appropriate governmental parties associated with the offending legislation -- either proposed or enacted.
I get emails advising of specific issues, like new mandatory sentencing acts and even within my own state. I have been doing this to get my voice heard. I have gotten letter from the Washington State governers office specifically addessing my letter on allowing non-violent (drug related) felons who have done their time to reestablish their voting rights, and using treatment over confinement as first line punishment.
I am personally very happy and proud that I can make such a direct impact. One letter has power. Dozens of them are a wave. Hundreds are a tsunami.
GET NOTICED -- GET HEARD -- MAKE A DIFFERENCE -- IT'S FREE!!!
Here it is again.... at least go check it out!
