We Can Do It Again: Repealing Today's Failed Prohibition -- TAKE ACTION!
December, 2008 marks the 75th anniversary of the end of alcohol prohibition. You can help teach a lesson from history by asking your representatives to repeal today’s failed prohibition of drugs.
When America’s leaders repealed alcohol prohibition,it wasn't because they suddenly decided that liquor was safe and that everyone should drink. Rather, it was because they were tired of gangsters raking in rich illegal profits and terrorizing neighborhoods. And we simply could not afford to keep enforcing the failed prohibition during the Great Depression, our nation's worst economic crisis.
Today, America is in the grip of a new economic crisis, but we keep paying for an even more devastating prohibition, the "war on drugs."
If you're tired of paying for laws that only make our streets more dangerous, take one minute to let your federal and state elected officials know how you feel by adapting our pre-written letter below. We can do it again!

Real easy to send a letter to Canadian and USA representatives. The option to edit (personalize) the letter is encouraged.

Government pays most attention to a hand written letter, then a printed letter, then a faxed letter, last an email. If you print out a letter, leaving some space for a hand written part is also effective.

One letter to the government = 100 like minded people who didn't write.

Make yourself heard.

This also is a time of political uncertainty in our country and all of us and those who support us have an opportunity to let our MP's know what is important to us. This is our HEALTH CARE we are concerned about - we are not being protected and our rights are being violated under the Charter whether we have an exemption or not.

I told my mp that I would not sign up for membership or send donations until I heard through the media that they were going to check into this fraud of a medical marijuana program that insureres of the dr's have excercised thier money to see it blocked. right now money talks, as well as items that would boost the economy, hmmm like legalizing marijuana which would help numerous segments of the economy, what a novel idea? help farmers on marginal land, manufacturing of various hemp products, not to mention retail and the med use. so write your mp and use your vote and your money to support those who support us, and none other.

This media list got compiled and posted in another forum. I've been tweaking it as I go. I'm sure there are more to add and more to remove. Anyone who uses the list for a mass mailing might want to try SendBlaster free version. I have not got results using this approach, and I neither recommend nor discourage it. It does make sense to include an opt out message for the recipient.

Using To: or Cc: or Bcc in a mass mailing is futile. One email, one recipient unless you try SB free.

Here it is, mysterious recipients and all:
