sandstorm is a crosscreated by CannaBioGen;
between a Chitral Kush indica (female) and a Moroccan male (clone from Arabene, Morroco ).
both are reported to be 100% indica, and great hashish plants.

Sandstorm gives very dense buds covered with resin (all over),
they need lots of air circulation when the flowers start putting on weight.
this is a sweet scented plant,
which is potent, and easy to grow.

flowering time anywhere from 55 to 65 days.

************

Personal experience:

the sandstorm crosses that I grow,
came originally from Dr. Chronic:
http://www.drchronic.com/products.asp?recnumber=9
for 30 UK pounds, these are a good deal over there.

Personally, have grown afghan x sandstorms for a while now,
and these are a stable cross, whose flowering time was reduced down to about 53 to 55 days, making them a viable option for Northern climates. This being an important component in my stable of girls.

future prospects:

I hope to get the SugarLeaf (also from CannaBioGen)
http://www.drchronic.com/products.asp?recnumber=10

and cross a male with a sandstorm x afghan 55 day flowering mother.
again, at $36 UK this is a deal for me, to find a suitable parent for another great sandstorm cross.

This Sugarleaf picture looks very much like one of the sandstorm x afghan mothers that play with, such a cross may be a higher yeild yet still, and adds a little sativa to the mixture, if can find a 55 day > parent.

anyone else growing sandstorm or her crosses?

nw, your cross looks outstanding in the pictures!

I love anything CannaBioGen puts out.

I've grown out Destroyer recently and I'm saving some for Xmas gifts....It's a "special" plant for me as it stops my MS spasms, a mix of Meo Thai and Columbian.

Not for the faint of heart, 100% sativa rocket fuel :)

it's good to hear that destroyer is that good, i've been eying it for a while. maybe i'll throw it in on the next batch (still have to try the orange spice i have).

Go for it :) It's really good meds. The only bad trait I found is that is ripens unevenly.
Some buds were ripe at FD70 and some at FD80.

Also I would suggest SCROG if indoors. I had 4 growing vertical and 2 in SCROG. The scrog plants yielded a whopping 30% more with larger colas...the ones I grew vertical had a lot of crystalline popcorn on the lower branches. This strain needs lots 'o watts or training to get the best out of it. Happy weed indeed :)

hmmm shadow i look forward to it if you do decide to go with that :)

hehehe i am sure together we can get it trained right too ;)

nice girls you got there :D

thank you for the kind words Green Medicine,
those crosses come out sugary sweet, pungent licorice-type hash smell,
sticky meds (lots of finger hash from a 'batch')
fills your lungs with that hashy taste and feeling,
but so does the body,
receive the relief from spasms of muscles,
tension of muscles,
over all warmth and relaxation of musculo-skeletal system
is obviously evident.

sleep inducing,
if ingested in appropriate quantities ;)

great muscle relaxant, as well as
good for the bowels.
munchies induced for those of us who need help
with eating department,
(although the relief from nausea typically comes from sativa's ... have received slight relief of nausea, enough to get some food in... not
enough to keep it always... but its better then without).

now, as for the Destroyer,
its a bit costly, if can recall....
good sativa's can be....
have some native sativa's
here from two area's of the south america's
and shall see what happens
with them.
am just looking around for another sativa that could grow with them,
to make a full sativa grow in there....

what i like about this CannaBioGen is their prices are reasonable
for some very stable crosses... of pure indica's that WILL knock yourself out, if you let it....

not having to pay more then lets say $50 US (dr. chronic is a good supplier, every order has arrived, and deals were made)
for a good starting base... for playing with genetics
is a good thing in my eyes.

considering, one could be looking at hundred's of $
for some genetics...

the afghan x sandstorms ripen slightly unevenly,
but not by 10 days fluctuation.

They are done between 53 and 55 days.
i did have one sativa phenotype, and it was not a keeper...
(in this cross, i would stick to the cumular 'christmas tree' heavy indica phenotype's, this is what i have found to be more useful.)

I also have two different phenotypes, of clones,
from the same mother.

the mother was 'true' to her mom.
strong indica phenotype
but one clone followed suit,
the other came out with the cumular
shape, but slender sativa type leaves...
only diference between them is 1 to 2 weeks between cutting.

i do have an afghan x lifesaver (another thread.. :) perhaps)
mother and this has had more fluctuation in FD's then the sandstorm cross.

(same afghani #1 father for both crosses)

Thanks for the kind words for my creation (i am BB) glad to know they worked out so well for you. It is my intention to make many such crosses to give away here at Ty.

they are true words.
of your creation, the afghanxsandstorm cross is the kicker of them all,
as far as meds that have grown so far....
and the lifesaver afghan cross is just as good,
there is a difference that is visible, smelleable, and touchable.. not to mention
feelable upon ingestion...

anyways,
glad your here BB,
and good that you will be giving away these crosses here,
the folks seem to like my photos,
and are propably happy to try out some of those crosses.

how is the haze taming coming?

Glad you enojoy it....kinda gives me a thrill ;) It's not really skill though i just have room to grow lots of plants, and hence choose great parents, which in turn make great offspring.

Haze taming is coming along somewhat as i got a bit derailed when i had to have surgery and the recovery afterwards. Right now i am i am working on making a more sativa influenced SSH, and one that a bit more indica, but as you know Haze taming takes time.....lotsa time.

got time bb,
nothing but time here...
was thinking of smoking some haze for the 40th (you coming?)
but, seems it may be something else.
it may be something Brazilian.. ;)

if you can push the flowering time down to a possible 55 to 60 days,
it's possible to finish them here.
maybe it takes lots of time,
but time i have
until the body gives up,
then you have to hold on...
till i come back, somewhere closer to you....
*maybe the next pup of the litter [NO NOT your's BB ;) ]
and i'll get my teeth on a bag of that haze when
your not looking*
