is a good thing!!!! my first batch of oil,it was all stems and a little leaf and 2 small cans of fuel .i used hot water to evap with.i used a 100ml pyrex beaker i guess to catch and it filled up with 1 can,so i will be using a biger 1 next time as will be using bud and probly 4-5 cans. the insulation slips so might want to run tape around it. here is what i got from about 1 oz of saved stems ground fine :D

Nice work there MMM. What are you using to hold the mix in? Looks like a maglight cylinder

good job. :)

teflon plummers tape works really well for producing a relatively tight seal. you have to reaply it each time tho.

the color says it came mostly from stem and should be higher in cbd and cbn than bho from strate bud or trim. it should also have a much broder therapeutic range of aplications comparied to more golden or amber bho. stem BHO is some of my personal fave.

did you conduct the extraction and evap outside?

thanx for the pix.

no maglight its an HERB-e. pf i did it in a back shed next to the window with the double doors open and a fan going,as close to being in the open without being in the open ya know ..but yes people dont try this without ADDIQUITE ventalation and NO risk of sparks or even static for that matter.and i need to say WOW put a little glob on some leaftrim ,i will never look at stems the same way again(as trash) and can only imagine if i would have thrown in some bud..and i dont think that it is clean fuel as there is a slighty more lighter taste them normal.can i cook with this type of oil,as to send "baked" goods to friends lol .thanks again to all the people who put up there knowladge for us to gain have a great night ,im going to oil my sqwiks lol

yes you can and baking might be best..... i am not sure.... what i tend to do as an impatient person is a little more dangerous than baking proably.... i get all my oil into a vial, then holding the vial with pliers or a piece of wire rapped around the vial, i heat it whit a lighter. first i heat the sides at the top until it boils a little. then i heat it from the bottom.. this is where it can get tricky.... if you heat it too fast it will boil out of control. so you heat it until the very first signs of boiling and then back off... if it really starts to boil heat the mouth of the vial again slight. heating the mouth with in reason can be used to get the bubbles to pop and the oil to sink back down. do this a few times... 5...10.... and most of the remaining solvent should be out. letting it cool with the top off will also help. becareful and don't burn yourself. eye protection couldn't hurt. good luck.
