Alright heres the dilemma, there are alot of diffrent companys; some companys have the same "strain"of seed but at diffrent prices but which to choose? so, ive been in the market for one pack of pure 100% indica seeds and one pack of pure 100% sativa seeds.I only the best of genetics. so heres where all of you experts here come into play, ive weeded out the seedbanks that i didnt like and i'd like your help to further narrow my choice down to just one or two seed banks.Any info on any company or strain will be much appreciated.

Afropips-i like what i see with the swazi red and nigerian strains but i especially like the malawi gold. an input on these sativa strains or this company?

Ceres-now from what i see they look decent but im not sure if theyre are authentic.I like their Kush strain.

Cannabiogen-well they have pricey seeds which caught my eye,but then again that could just be a deception are they really as good as theyre prices make them out to be?i was looking into their Sandstorm which seemed like a nice indica.

D.N.A.-they also had pricey seeds, but deception or good genes?i dont know. the strain i was checking out was their Pure Afghan, it looks like a nice indica.

Delta 9- again high prices.Meong Haze looked like a nice sativa but, they say the parents are Sensi Star?? sensi star(From the info i gathered)is an indica strain?any input on this?

Kiwi seeds-expensive seeds but they have an award under their belt so that seems like good proof but i wouldnt know be cause i havent tried them personally.any input on Kiwi?
i was checking out their Hindu Kush(Sensi also carries this strain but whose is better?).

Homegrown fantaseeds- reasonable prices, they seem ok to me.authentic? i was checking out their Afghani, Haze(Sativa Seeds also carrys haze at a cheaper price, but its not about the price for me its about the genetics, whose is more authentic?) and Kush(ceres has a srain named kush,is HF ripping their strain off??)

Sensi-now sensi i know is oldschool and they seem authentic and trustworthy.if anyone has experienced otherwise let me know.i like their Hindu Kush strain(Kiwi also has Hindu Kush but which to choose?).

seedsman, i was looking into them but i noticed that alot of their strains looked like stolen genetics which is crap in my book.

Sativa Seeds-i havent heard anything about sativa seeds, but well when choosing a sativa does the name sativa seeds not catch your eye? i like what i see with their Haze(HF has Haze also but whose is better), Paia Hawaiiana and Sativa Mexicana. any input on this company let me know!

Any info will help im going to use these seeds for breeding Purposes and will be giving out seeds to a few fellow patients that i know and i want the best for them and for myself so please i know its alot of questioning and inquiry but any fragment of Info will help me reach my goals.

-Much thanks from CO740 and Friends

Choosing strains is ultimately a choice the individual grower has to make, for example I personally would only consider growing out Sensi Seed stock from the list you posted above. They are a trusted company, however rumors of their operation have persisted for years now. The next best choice I personally see on the list is HGF.

I personally would recommend Mr. Nice Seed bank to you, however 100% Indica and 100% sativa varieties may prove hard to find with MNS. Shanti has won quite a few of the cups over the years and is responsible for some of the greatest genetics in recent history.

A variety close to 100% sativa would be Nevilles Haze, although it was hybridized with NL and thus isnt 100% sativa. A good thing considering the known flowering times of most pure haze varietys. Nevilles is among the best, if not the best, on the market.

Ive grown the Sensi Hindu Kush and feel that it may be worth my time to go to them in the future. The speed and stable nature of the HK from Sensi Impressed me the most.

The top three banks I would recommend are:
Mr. Nice Seeds
Paradise Seeds
Serious Seeds

Thats not to say other companies dont have wonderful genetics, but these are just the ones I would recommend.

Good luck mate.

Thanks jesse, I will take your information into consideration when making my final choice and im probably going to go with the sensi for my indica selection.I'd rather have one good reply like yours then ten uneducated ones like i get at the forum i usedto be a member of.hopefully some more educated minds will stumble across this thread and add to my compilation of knowledge on seed companys.

I agree with mr.nice, paradise and serious. Another good option is to find a good local clone vendor with a proven strain. There is always someone around that has done all the homework already and is supplying cuts to his other local growers. Its just a thought.

Go with the DNA Afghani The Haze would be good as well but you'll have 2 different flower times going...

I have seen people try and grow sativas here in ontario and they grow these huge plants that just dont have enough time to finish? Just curious as to why you want an indica and a sativa?

well i think of it this way.i want the best of both worlds. i figure that if i want more of a hybrid high i can just smoke a bit of each.also other people that im growing for and supplying seeds to like diffrent highs. sorry to hear that the sativas dont finish there, they could always be done indoors but itd be a problem considering how out of control the sativas are and how long they take.

Where there is a will, there is a way. But you have to ask yourself how much time and effort are you willing to put into growing plants outdoors? If you wanted to grow a pure sativa in your part of the world, it would take some advanced planning but it could be possible. Darkening methods, building a green house et cetera are all common ways in which growers grow varieties out that other wise wouldnt finish in their chosen location.

This is one reason why many growers prefer to use faster flowering varieties when growing outdoors, if growing in a green house or using a darkening method isnt a viable option. But its all about what you're willing to do and the time and effort you're willing to dedicate to your project.

It may be best to look at sativa-indica hybrids if you're looking for plants that show sativa expression but come in a little faster than more sat dominant lines generally do. If your area is simply inhospitable for sativas period, growing them indoors is an option and depending on your space availability would open up a world of possibility for you.

thanks for all the input guys.I've made my choice, D.N.A.'s Pure Afghan and Afropips Nigerian Cannabis, i wanted to go with the Malawi Gold but it says under the description outdoors southern hemisphere and indoors northern hemisphere, i live in southern california, do you all agree with this statement or do you think ill be able to finish it?it finishes flowering in 14-16 weeks.

If you're gonna do the Malawi outdoors you better start thinking of getting it in the ground.. They do take forever.. Can't go wrong with the Afghani....

do you think ill haveto worry about any problems with the malawi because of its late finishing date like mold or it being too cold or anything?

Being in southern cali means longer acceptable flowering periods, if you can start these guys indoor then move outdoor a lil later in the season you should be fine. I grew out a plant this last winter let it grow to about 1 foot, then dropped it in the ground in september it finished in late november...a few nice colas came of it. With this you sacrifice some flowering growth that planting outdoors during the season allows for. Lets be real man, in SoCal how cold does it really get? and at the most covering up your plant with some clear plastic when it rains, if you are growing guerilla style I have no clue... Tryout this link for http://www.sunrisesunset.com/ Hope it gets you some good info. in LA it shows the photoperiod going for 12/12 to 13/11 then gradually back to 12/12. it's crazy to think about.. but it's one way to make the most of the growing season. I know down here in Sunny Sandy not much rain to worry about, where other places have to contend with frost, and cold. The plants like cold weather!(to some extent). I heard of one grower talking about crazy bud formation in extremely cold weather... not sure who it was but it was on TY somewhere.
