View Full Version : Ointments and healing oils vs. UA

I am in the very near future getting my medical card, and I am curious if anyone knows if Cannabis ointments and healing oils show up in a UA as thc useage. My work has random UA's and even though I will have my medical card I fear that they will not be understanding to the medicinal use since we are governed by DOT regulations of drug testing. So does ointments and oils show up the same in your blood stream and urine as smoking and eating it?

Hi, IAmKrishna.
If the UA is in fact a drug screen, the THC will indeed show up. You can risk it, but I wouldn't. From what I understand, the oils can be absorbed right through your dermis and into your bloodstream, similar to sublingal application of tinctures.
You _could_ try it, but you would be taking quite the risk. Let me know how it goes.
All the best,

Hemp-Eaze balm made from the roots of cannabis sativa does not show THC (as tested by Australian Federal Police). It is a remarkable product and I use it as well as my family.

That's great, but I'm confused. I thought we were talking about cannabis, not hemp? While they're similar, the two are not the same.
By using an olive oil cannabis extract with beeswax and other essential oils, you can achieve a salve that can be applied much like the hemp balm would be.
Good luck!

Moe, my understanding is that the balm was not made from hemp, but from narcotic cannabis sativa roots.

That's very interesting. I'll look into it and see what I can find out.
Stay tuned!

So are you saying that I could utilize the roots of the plants I am currently growing for my friend that has his card? And that its likly that this would not show up in my UA? Then I must research more.
Currently to surpress signs of THC in my system, I was told by a physician that if I do not have more then 25% body fat and eat very low fat diet that is very high in antioxidants at worst it would take 72 hours to flush the signs of THC out of my system. So if that is all true then I am in the clear there, but I have never been selected at work for a UA to test that theroy. Knock on wood. But really I was hopeing to come across another source of threatments that I would not have to worry so much about.

Hello Iamkrishna,
and Thank You Smokin Moose for your support and teachings.
People try all kinds of tricks too cover THC. Our local record store sells something that contains Niacin, Charcoal, and grape juice. Don't trust any of the ideas.
However, in my profile I explain, I was told that I would have to use a cane for the rest of my life, after a silly accident ended my job as a city bus driver. ( You know how strict the managers of Public Transportation can be for testing.) Only way to endure the pain was cannabis. They cut you off early from pain meds. I guess they think you'll heal faster, Ha! A year later I still couldn't walk more than 1 hour and I was done!
So while developing a organic message cream from the herbs I grew In my garden, A gal running the nearest Cannabis Club, ( 70 miles) told me a little about the Root, known to reduce swelling and ease pain in joints and sore muscles. She gave me a medical marijuana book, where I read that; Cannabis root also helps to stimulate circulation. So I included it in my formula with other 'Commons'. Within the first month my ankle was reduced to a normal size and I began having feeling in my toes again! In six months I was walking briskly between classes at our local community college that sits on the side of a mountain range!
Friends where so impressed with my rapid healing and began to try Some 'Hemp-EaZe for themselves. The reports have been incredible! I continued researching as much as I could find, which was hardly anything and have documented a three year market study with reports from relieving, Sprains, sore muscles, sunspots and Eczema and Arthritic pain and swelling, To easing neuropic pain, radiation burns and more!
The Root combined in the Hemp-EaZe formula, is a powerful medicine that we personally have supervised; in it's growing and harvesting, to insure that it is total organic and well taken care of. This guarantees the utmost highest quality. The preparation process must be equally meticulous, so to capture the healing properties, for they are heat sensitive.
Yes, Hemp-EaZe does use the finest Cannabis Root the Emerald Triangle has to offer, since it's our own backyard. We began calling it 'Hemp' because all our research into the current uses of cannabis root was for fiber or tossed out as a by-product. Not to be ingested.
But then, we were contacted by Blair Van Pelt, who was doing a cannabis root study, out of the U. of ID. and asked if Hemp-EaZe could be included! Test results:
http://www.hempembassy.net/hempe/resources/blairvanpeltcannabisroot%20_NXPowerLite_.pdf.
They determined, with great disappointment that there wasn't enough THC to be determined. This was joyous! A cannabis product that has the freedom to heal without concern!
But the big test was Last November when Hemp-EaZe was taken in a raid by the AFP! For sure the scrutiny was intense. Hemp-EaZe was found negative of THC again! And returned to it's rightful owner.
Solidifying that cannabis root,in moderate topical quantities, is a real medicine thats safe to possess!
So There is hope for us all!

Thank you Hemp-EaZe the first link is very informative, I could not acces the second.
As for the above mentioned masking the THC, I by no means wish to do that, what I was explained by the physician was that if a body is in healthy shape (with minimal body fat) toxins (so to speak) have no where to be stored, this with eating well (maintaing antioxidants in the diet as well), should keep signs of the THC to below tracable levels after 72 hours. So I have become aware of when my employer sends someone out for a UA and I have been careful to minimize my usage at those times. I was just hoping (and it sounds like i did with Hemp-EaZe/and the roots of the plants I already have) to find something that i could utilize without having to monitor my useage.
Thank you so much.

Good Morning everyone,
Using cannabis root, medicinally, may seem like a new concept, But the use of cannabis root was found to have been recorded as early as 2,800 B.C. The first recordings attributing to the healing powers of Cannabis and the root was by Chinese Pharmacopeia.
Around 2,000 B.C. Ancient Egypt gave the world one of it's first medical texts, The Ebers Papyrus. It contains some 800 recipes and refers to cannabis and it's root several times. In Medieval Europe physicians prescribed the root to alleviate the agonies of gout and other painful diseases. The root was pounded into an oiled paste and used as a salve for burns, easing swelling and pain and soothing a variety of topical skin disorders.
But even through this history, finding information of the medical uses of cannabis root is scarce. Even in Ed Rosenthal's Book, Marijuana Grower's Guide, there is only a small portion of information about Cannabis Root.
We know it works, we know it has a history of healing since antiquity, and now that it's been deemed 'Officially' minus THC, we have the freedom to expand on the knowledge and uses of the root, rejoice!
I you are interested in trying a sample of Hemp-EaZe, just write: hempeaze@yahoo.com

Well in all reality it is of no surprise to me that the root also obtains healing qualities, many herbs roots do. It make sense in a way that the root is supporting the plant and all that the plant can offer therefore is should posses simular attributes as the rest of the plant. I appreiciate your offer of trying a sample. I will write you now. Thanks again.

Thank You Twisted Sister, nice reply. Hey everyone you should check out Twisted Sister's Store! She's a true craftsman!
Check this out!, Hemp-EaZe has become part of the set dressing in Showtimes TV series, “Weeds”. They asked us this week if we would like to contribute to a scene that they are setting up for the new season! They plan on having a fully stocked medical marijuana despesnory, as a scene.
And for this we can have bragging rights! we can claim “ Mary Louise-Parker uses Hemp-EaZe, on Showtimes #1 rated TV show, “Weeds”., or “As seen on “Weeds”.
This could be priceless, as far as advertising goes.
We don’t get Showtime ourselves, but hopefully we can find someone who could copy the shows for us.
Anyway the package is on it’s way to Hollywood. I sent a nice countertop display box filled with cream and body lotion, some brochures and a posters for the walls, and I am assured that they will all be used. So That’s exciting.I'll let you know when it aires. LOL it'll probably be a slip-second scene, but it'll be a good excuse for a party! LOL

Great! Yes, and as you can see, a little goes a long way, so a jar lasts a long time.I am pleased that you found Hemp-EaZe soothing, it's a comfort cream.
We also did a three year series of test markets with very positive results. Hemp-EaZe has been selling nicely at our local stores and Farmers’ Market, too. People are calling all the time to report the great healing after using the cream.
Just this last week, I heard from a man who used Hemp-EaZe on his daughter’s diaper rash, and it went away in an hour! A neighbor uses it nightly to relieve his neuropathy pain & swelling, and a women, with diabetes, called today to buy another jar after it healed her fractured toe. Hemp-EaZe has recently been reported to relieve radiation rash. Hemp-EaZe is a welcoming alternative treatment that is gentle enough for a baby.
Hemp-EaZe is the same formula. I believe that the proprietary blend of Hemp Root, Comfrey, Burdock, Lavender, Loebelia, Hyssop, Myrrh Gum, Sage, and California Bay, combined, make a powerful healing cream.
We plan to expand the hemp-EaZe product line next year to
include a body care lotion, cold & Flu, skin and rash care, and even a pet care line...Ha, Ha, I sound like a commercial, but what can I say? Yippee for cannabis root.

I have been working with our local Holistic health clinic in treating their neuropic patients with our Hemp-EaZe Therapy cream. The Therapists there, have been so encouraged with the results they have seen when using our cannabis root based cream, that they have gone to conferences to speak about the healing properties of cannabis root. Another exciting aspect to this news is that these therapist are straight! Proving that even straight people can not deny the healing powers of the herb. Our proprietary blend rejuvenates circulation, promotes cellular growth, and encourages deep tissue healing. The healing properties of Cannabis ROOT has helped with easing pain and swelling, working deep to help with Arthritis, joint pain and stiffness as well as helping with skin problems and infections.
With their encouragement, the Hemp-EaZe bodycare lotion I developed, using 1/4 strength Hemp root-herbal formula, we enhanced with an addition of Feverfew and Aloe. Feverfew is known for relieving such skin ailments as Rosacea. The clinic has taken on the lotion for their clinical study, currently using 24 patients with fabulous results. This makes the Hemp-EaZe bodycare lotion to stand on it's own merits.
Yippee!
