my daughter ..injured badly

My little girl was injured bad today riding bikes-she broke her wrist in 2 places and broke her shoulder.She had to be put under to set the wrsit.Made me cry and sweat like hell.I am stressed out to the max.BigD

i can understand yer being stressed about yer lil girl being injured. kids are pretty darned resiliant to these types of injuries and i'm sure she'll be feeling better soon. broke my arm riding as a kid as well, along with tons of other scrapes and breaks.

I feel for you.. but I also broke my arm when i was younger.. well actually i was 16 so not a little one.. but let me tell you.. as kids go.. they just seem to go with the flow.. she will be pampered at school... friends will all beg to sign her cast.. teachers will help her all over the place. And oft times if she broke her prodominent arm.. ie.. the one she writes with she will be assigned a writer for her assignments... (and you will be her writer at home no doubt which is a great way to get to know your kids better!)

She will be fine.. take a hit or two and relax.. Mother nature knows how to heal broken bones and anxious parents.

She has been a real trooper through this.I was very worried when we got the call that she had fractured her radius and ulna, a common bike injury, and she was gonna have to have surgery.We have 4 of the USA best ortho guys here so that wasnt a worry,thank God! Ok , bro first things first, your daughter, sorry to hear about that and we are praying for her speedy recovery, second you being stressed won't help at all so breath bro breath, i know it's intense, something seems to keep it that way as much as it can.
so our job even when it the hardest need to remain calm for others and to assist in seeing whats real, daughter is hurt , but she is getting better as we speak and she will recover, not terminal, she probably will be sore for awile and need to take care of herself in the future, no more crazy bike, regular bike now, it's not easy slowing that thing down and trying to control it doesn't work either, from experiance, get some vitim e for the strech marks, your growth , he he god bless brian

Update: she was afraid to go to sleep! Mommy and I were up late cause she was afraid she'd hurt her arm in sleep.Tylenol 3's took care of that-lol.Now if I can get her brother to go to school w/o her today! Both Mom and I will be home all day to take care of our little girl-she just turned 11 a few days ago!Thank you all for the kind words......it truely means alot to me.Thanks and Peace BigD

Sorry to hear about her accident. You'll be amazed how fast she heals!!! You'll be O.K. too. I think sometimes it's harder on the parents when kids get hurt.

My girl is going to school today.She has a handful of sharpie markers for the event.She'll have a ton of help cause she has many many friends.Her dance teacher is gonna put in a routine so she can go to her dance recital.She slept well last night for the first time since injury.I want to thank my second family at TY for all the prayers and support.It means the world to me.Peace and thanks again! I am so glad to hear that all is well again in the Big Daddy household. Here is the fun part after the accident for kids. She will get lots of attention, flocked by people trying to sign her cast. Then she will come home and have to read the thing to you guys. LOL If she is anything like mine you will catch glimpses of her reading all of the kind words from her friends over and over. It is pretty cute and also amazing how fast they bounce back. It is also very cool about the teacher working in something just for her so she can be in the recital. The dance teacher better cause I forked over major $$$ for lessons not to mention 250usd in costumes!She's a redhead with baby blue eyes that at 11 is a cutey pie.I am forever watching over her in fear of sexual predators.Pardon me for being paranoid but the News has sensationalised this so bad here that Im scared ..whitless! Her real father dumped my old lady after hearing the'Im pregnant" line.Never has seen her and never will.I legally adopted her at age 2.Im the only Daddy she knows.She knows she was adopted but she always says "Im like my Dad".Sad her real father will never know her..his loss for sure.He was a drunk ass anyways.She'll rebound as strong as ever.She is very tall and thin so I worry.I started giving her low dose calcium supplements.And pushing the moo and cottage cheese!
