First off I would transplant into separate pots, as to not get roots entangled with each other. I would veg them with your light 24/7 until they are at least 14-18 inches tall, then transplant into 5 or 7 gallon Smart Pots (if you can buy Smart Pots there),, let them get use to the larger pot for a eek, then put them into bloom with lights running 12 hours on and 12 hours off. Good Luck

Actually, AF varieties, given the short life span, do better with either 20/4 or 18/6, for the remainder, and will yield more with an increased photoperiod. And yeah, get them into separate pots, ASAP!

im going to be running them under 24/0 with absloutly no nutrients to see how it works out.

You might also transplant to a five or six gallon pot, for both plants undoubtedly are all tangled up below the surface. Why not just put some bone meal on the surface of the soil (not just after transplant, as that could kill them!)? The bone meal is very high in P, and that will help your roots and stimulate flowering. Cheap and effective. Otherwise, your experiment will be very disappointing, and not worth the wait.

im a newbie nd this is only my second run so all help is greatly apreciated.
deanne65 how can i get bone meal? do they have it in wallmart or home depot and what are the dangers of having both in the same pot? p.s i want to keep them as small as possible and thats why i have them in a 2.64 gallon pot

i personally think that a 5 or 6 gal pot for to AFers whould be serious overkill under that light and would not provide significant benefit over a 3 gal pot. personally i would not put them in anything bigger than a 1gal pot for that light tho.....
you will damage the roots a little pulling them appart but that can't be avoided nor should it be a big deal. if you leave them together the larger one will choke out the smaller one and pritty seriously limit is yield.

will the yield be affected on the bigger one if i leave them in that pot and would my plants die if i transplanted them seperatly into 1 gallon buckets due to the roots being entangled?

"you will damage the roots a little pulling them apart but that can't be avoided nor should it be a big deal."
Just be gentle and it should all be ok....
the larger one? hard to say if it's yield will suffer significantly if left in the same pot with the other but likely yes, at least a little. As the dominate one tho not as much as the smaller one.

The sooner you separate the 2 that are together the better,, I would do it now myself,, and I would go to 5-7 gallons...The bigger the container the bigger the yield.. my 2 cents. ;) Are you making sure you keep them under 24/7 light on...At least 18 on/6 off..no less while they veg

i will be leaving them just the way they are on 24/0 the whole way thru without any nutes just to see what will happen as an experiment i guess. they are starting to have a strong smell too. showing lots of pistils

Given the amount of time you have had them in the same pot, any attempt to separate the two would be very damaging to roots. If you want to save your plants an incredible shocking situation of separation, and to save on soilless-which would be a secondary concern-just go with one pot, say, five gallon.
P.S. You might have irreversibly stunted your plants, if the roots were bound for too long. Still, a five gallon pot will be necessary, given the root requirements.

At this point I only think you are going to hurt them even more by attempting to do anything with them at all just leave them be and let them finish up.
I have run numerous grows with two AF plants in one 3 gallon pot and had no ill effects from it.

Could be a number of reasons. Is the rest of the plant healthy? My bottom leaves die off sometimes due to lack of light penetrating down. But yellow can mean different issues too. How are they doing overall?

they seem to be realy healthy just the bootom leaves are yellowing and dieing of one by one on the bigger female and whats wierd is that the smaller one seems to be alot healthier with less leaves dying off.

can i cut off some of the fan leaves so that my bud sights can get more light or will this hurt my yield? is it ok to trim them given the fact that they are an autoflower hybrid?

Nah, don't take off leaves, they die on their own anyways, especially the ones at the bottom. How dry/wet is your soil? Your plant tips are burned and they are curling down. For that I would flush them with water, especially if dry. I'm not familiar with autoflowers. Did it grow much after you started flowering?
Sorry its hard to help when you have no idea what the other person is doing. Its all questions. What are you doing to your plants?
Edit: Oooo I forgot about the 2 plants thing - so the roots could be doing battle.

I've always read that 50% of the pistils should be orange, not 100%.

Dude, I would transplant them in their own pots. No pun intended.:)
Give them a little room of their own, to grow out some. The girls
will love you for it.
And you will love it too.
Bilbo7
By the looks of the last set of pictures you appear to have a heat issue and I swear it does look like fert burn / cats claw. AF's may not go exactly 60 days .. Alot of times the day count means under optimum conditions.. Don't stress just keep an eye on the hairs and the trich's..

is has bin a while since i last posted well i cut down the small plant and it looks like the big one just started to take off since then it has much more crystals and it seems to be bulking up and im guessing the reason it hasnt finished yet is because i trimmed them and maybe instead of it concentraiting on budding it was repairing stems but im not sure any one have any ideas?

Do you have some magnification to look at the crystals with? Like a mini microscope ($20 at radio shack) or some glass (20x-30x)?
BTW, i'm really glad you stuck with it!!!

Hey congrats on your little one on the way... That's good stuff. I bet things are getting crazy right now as her due date approaches. And things will continue to be crazy probablly for awhile, or about a month. I can see why things are extra tight. I'm sure when you chop, you'll find that you have a new apprication for something you grew.
It is alot of trial and error... There are lots of old and new ways of doing the same thing. You have to look at your situation and space and plan how to do things differently to overcome the trials of the previous goes. Try and save up (which will be next to impossible for a bit ;-) and make your move when you've researched what equipment you want to upgrade to. Good luck man, and I gurentee this smoke will be some of the best, if not at least the freshest you've ever had!!

Well? How'd it work out?
I've never heard of such a thing as going 24/0 all the way through, but then these autoflowering things are new to me too.
You kids and your fancy, newfangled plants... :p
