Is it possible to clone a mulberry tree? There is one near where I live, but by the time it fruits., the homeless folks have picked it clean. I love these berries and I want to grow some of my own, so is there any way to clone a branch of the tree, or would I have to start from "scratch"?

yes you can clone a branch from a tree. You can just put the branch in water till it forms roots if you dont have cloning gel. And if you do have cloning gel just check to see if its strong enough as some gels are not as strong as others and would basicly just be wasting it if its not strong enough. Not sure if mulberry tree's are hardwood or softwood.Peace

Mulberry trees can indeed be cloned. It is a hard wood so use the appropriate cloning gel ;)

i'll look in the yard for babies and send it off to you if i find one. we have a handful on the property here. the birds eat the berries off the ground and get buzzed. we've even watched them hit the 3rd floor window drunk and die. guess DUI and FUI flying under the influence will kill you just the same.
