Two Romanians admit smoking a joint…right next to police officers
Two Romanian students yesterday admitted they were smoking a joint on the beach in St George’ s Bay on Friday night, when the police were just a few metres away.
Mihail Florescu, 27, and Ion Vlad Chinea, 20, pleaded guilty to being in possession of cannabis on Friday and previous days.
Police inspector Pierre Grech told the court that police were patrolling the area, and were just a few metres away from the men when they lit the joint. The two got conditionally discharged for one year.
