I was wondering this and maybe someone can come with the right answer to this matter. I wonder if stipules that tend to grow apart turn out to be male, and those who grow crossed are females plants so you can know sex a bit earlier. i have heard this somewhere i cant remember. what u think stinky

lol i thought it was the other way around..... something about the ones going up protection the developing calyxes while the ones pointing inward and crosing were bending out of the way for the impending drooping pollen sacks...... lol, i never use this tho so if i am wrong no biggy. :rolleyes:

aftre talking with you in chat i went and foud some reads that you can look behind them with a loop and see pre sex. i think it was over at og

only if they are old enough. if the plant is too young it just won't have any indication yet even if it has stipules.
