Cops bust cannabis 'farm'
Jan 25 2010 By Tara Brady
POLICE uncovered £80,000 worth of cannabis plants during a raid in Dollis Hill last week.
Officers from Dollis Hill Safer Neighbourhoods Team busted the address at 7.20am in Kenwyn Drive last Thursday (Jan 21) after receiving complaints from residents. There were between 350 and 400 plants inside the premises.
A 37-year-old man was arrested for cultivation of cannabis as well as immigration matters and taken to a local police station.
Sergeant Ed White, from Dollis Hill Safer Neighbourhoods Team, said: "I am very pleased with this result. Due to the local residents concerns we were able to act immediately to stop this crop being harvested. We have built a strong relationship with the local community and if it was not for their help in providing us with this information we would not have got this great result."
