FREE CANNABIS and why it is dangerous to promote legal and illegal cannabis on the same site.
Offering free cannabis devalues this wonderful plant and everything about it and does nothing for the medical marijuana movement but open it up to a playground for criminal activity.
Before the introduction of the internet, cannabis was grown and enjoyed throughout the world. At one time it wasn’t illegal but the government decided to criminalize the use of it, so growing and using meds became dangerous. Everything went underground so people became fearful and rightly so. The average marijuana user HAD to become discreet and sometimes dishonest in order to self medicate so one had to keep tight lipped.
Because of sick dying Canadians suffering from H.I.V., aids, cancer and other terminal illnesses, some started creating places where these sick patients could get a trustworthy supply of organically grown meds, hence the first compassion clubs were started in the late ‘90’s These growers earned their way by fighting the government for their rights BUT they did it fairly. How did they do it? By pleading for compassion to the legal authorities and Health Canada for their moral rights to medicate themselves without being hassled. They did this by diligently researching as much information as possible about the amazing benefits of cannabis , gathered it all together and presented it to our government and WON!
They were PROUD CANADIANS!!!!
The government created a program called the MMAR which allowed patients to legally medicate themselves and this was made possible with COMPASSION! Unfortunately many of these patients were dying and were NOT capable of growing so the ‘designated grower’ became the one with the responsibility. In order for the government to approve of this title they made stipulations on it so it would not entice the ‘caregiver’ into creating their own business off the cannabis so they added that the caregiver could not be a med user as well. This loop hole put a stop to any individual trying to capitalize off these sick, dying Canadians. Of course we all know that we aren’t supposed to advertise free meds online on any forum, or in a newspaper ,magazine, or flyer.
Advertising that you are looking to be a designated grower is perfectly acceptable though.
Remember that often the caregiver actually lived with the patient and truly cared for this human being in their last days before death so COMPASSION really needed to be a part of all it all. Now designated growers negotiate financial compensation for the cost of the supplies and equipment as well as time and effort involved.
So in ‘essence, the program consisted of the patient, the plant, the doctor, the grower and LOTS of hard work and compassion.
These ‘caregivers’ fought for their rights without guns and violence but did it fairly and respectfully. They KNEW that being disrespectful to the police and all concerned was not going to promote the marijuana movement in the direction that they wanted it to go so they repeatedly got arrested. Unfortunately this is a lucrative business and medical marijuana is subject to thieves and thugs so they also had to put up with being robbed and beaten up while at these compassion clubs but they STILL stayed open and tended to their patients. Getting into this program is EXTREMELY difficult because our health care system is federal. Doctors were informed NOT to sign these applications for marijuana so the compassion clubs started expanding so they could supply more people with pride and dignity and should to be applauded for their heroic efforts. THESE are our real HEROES of the MMJ movement across Canada,
Soon many Canadians had the opportunity, even if they could not find a doctor to sign their MMAR form , to get a good source of organically grown meds. T.C.C. and other reputable clubs in CANADA requires a ‘letter of diagnosis’ from your doctor as well as identification in order to apply and then there is an orientation where you actually go in and have your picture taken to have placed on your card. Members meet with the owner to learn about the program and what strains work best for their particular disorders. This process can take from a couple of weeks to many months depending on your illness and circumstances, so patience was crucial. Each and every patient was counted for so our government gradually started becoming more in favour of cannabis as long as they KNEW where the source of meds were coming from.
These people EARNED their respect by educating patients, doctors, law enforcement, Health Canada and our government but mainly by shining a bright light on the compassion. Soon others were getting into the MMAR program as patients and designated growers so other compassion clubs and businesses started trying to follow suite.
Unfortunately this legalizing of some and not others REALLY caused a rift between the two worlds of legal and illegal, especially online where deceitfulness is so easily accomplished. Forums that mesh both legal and illegal activity and bleeding the two together, are causing much greed and jealosy amongst our Canadians that is becoming increasingly ugly. It divides the community up into the ‘have’s’ and the ‘have nots,’ or the ‘greedy’ and the ‘needy.’
Everyone wants to be legal and soon these designated growers get hit apon for free seeds, meds, clones or whatever else they have because illegal growers automatically think that legal growers are making big bucks. Yes of course they arent all playing it by the book completely and perfectly, but the recommendations, regulations and laws make this program difficult to follow.
Many people do have extra meds that some offer to compassion clubs or use it for themselves but our law enforcement isn’t looking for these people. They are looking for people who abuse the system by using their license as an excuse to traffic which ALL of us end up paying for.
What is considered trafficking is up to our legal system but the internet has made this criminal activity amongst our marijuana community even more dangerous because of all the different provinces, states and countries. Nobody knows who anyone REALLY is because they are incognito and soon promoting illegal cannabis and legal cannabis on the same sites gets cloudy and confusing which benefits anyone wanting to do illegal activity whether they are legal or not.
These ring leaders will find all the loop holes and understand them perfectly but will only disclose this to the people who are willing to break the law the most.
In the early 2000 the biggest medical marijuana site came out promoting medical marijuana on one side from the most educated growers and activists to the best lawyers and legal advice….ALL at ONE site. Soon these forums leaders divided into other businesses which is what happened with the people who first got in this system. They started up their own businesses with some of the other people who got it this system early on .
Now you have groups of individuals who are at the top in the game and the right people are bribed into an espionage of blackmarket crime.
This is why promoting both at one site is sending out mixed messages.
On an illegal site no member can advertise ‘free meds’ or trade clones or seeds in open forum because it is not allowed. You are advertising your criminal activity on a site where the rest of us are trying to keep it under raps and it is essentially promoting criminal activity, The site could get investigated or be shut down so it is strongly discouraged. This is why site moderators are quick to snipe someone off like this . If we are on a site promoting something that is illegal its not considered legal. Sharing or trading of seeds , clones or cannabis is usually forbidden so becoming legal sets you in a different category even if you don’t want to be. If you are an honest person of moral integrity then you have nothing to worry about. They aren’t looking for the small fry’s but out to get these huge corporations that are organizing crime so deceptively that it is attracting violent criminals throughout the world who aren’t even laid back stoner people at best.
Because being online can be so cut throat , people can change their user name and with other software, i.p. addresses can also be changed allowing these people to stay incognito.
The internet is full of people pretending to be someone they aren’t which becomes uncomfortable because unless you are the one running the site, you do not know who these people are. In this business the better you become doing whatever skill you have, the more people are out to snipe you off. Most people know this about being online.
People’s ego’s get in the way so they sometimes would rather rip someone down than offer words of encouragement. People who have been at these sites the longest and know their stuff get promoted to moderators and such so it becomes more of a “I’ll scratch your back, you scratch mine,” as these people build up whatever businesses they are in. There are so many different types of businesses out there to profit from that the internet can become nasty business and most of us that have been around for a while understand this. There are businesses in seeds that are regular to seeds that are feminized that are both equally good and have both pro’s and con’s. Seedbanks also are becoming even bigger businesses due to all this legalization. Books, DVD’s, films and magazines are coming out as well as all kinds of internet information but the thing is EVERYONE wants a piece of the pie so it can become so competitive that it soon becomes very dangerously aggressive. Growers trying to promote seeds shoot down other growers to build themselves up and often offer free seeds to people to encourage good growers to try them. This way their name gets out there as both a good grower and get some recognition if they have proven their breeding abilities thereby profiting from the good strain(s) they provided. If they have given out free seeds then the grower is pleased to promote them. People wanting to become licensed growers have to be cautious of this because the regulations are quite specific about seeds but the more the program is becoming more lax and not so rigid, the more comfortable this area becomes. Because legal growers can’t breed or sell seeds as of yet , this area becomes a bit ‘tricky.’
SEED business is HUGE business , across the world right now and the further along we promote EVERYONE in these industries, the more we empower ‘marijuana movement’ , the better this will be for us all. There are all types of businesses in hydroponics that offer everything the new to advanced grower could require. Nutrients, soil amendments, lighting equipment of all types.
With all these new industries being promoted throughout the world the competition becomes fierce and the more chance you have of being sniped out for what you do. The better you become at your trade the more people there are to snipe you off because they want to stand out on top, so keeping a tight knit communities this becomes difficult . Trust becomes a huge factor. The once laid back days of going online and ‘chilling out’ are over and the environment become increasingly hostile. Many cannabis forums know this and can use this very thing to monopolize part of the industry. Since they are administrators of these sites, then they can have access to any of your personal information that you might have shared with others and it really takes moral integrity in this industry to make sure you are not lured or tempted into this. Members can edit things you have to say in private messages back and forth to cause friction amongst other members if they have something to gain so soon reputable members can get dragged through the mudd unknowingly. They can see which threads you are reading and even who you are pm’ing. It truly is a dog eat dog world out there and you will meet all kinds in this industry. Since it is only cutting edge of becoming legal then it is even MORE important to watch out for greedy people. You can get to know ones character as long as the people owning or running the forums allow you to but if they have something to gain or lose then they are the ones pulling all the strings.
If you are an honest person with strong moral character and know yourself well, then you will be able to handle this type of pressure and responsibility that comes with the territory but it can get mean and ugly which is why most people do not even tell people they have become legal in fear of being threatened and unfortunately these crooks become our leaders and glamourize this part of the industry to the other egotistical money grabbers. Sure many will congratulate you but at the same time loathe and envy your position. Soon people come out of the woodwork with heartfelt tales of despair in not being able to have rights or fear prosecution, so much that the legal person whether DG becomes EXPECTED to grow free meds for patients or start a business of supplying them which is using and abusing our government and country. Having this license can drag you into a world of deceit and corruption that you never quite recognized before getting it.
Newly licensed growers start wondering why they can’t appreciate and celebrate the lieense for what it is, until painfully they realize that the designated grower is the most despised person in this industry of growing. Why wouldn’t it be. We ALL want to grow.
One of the problems I think is we not to stop promoting illegal and legal cannabis on the SAME SITE or forum. All it does is send out mixed messages of confusion and fear and how can we all possibly be on the same page if some of us are legal and some are not.
It takes a LOT OF HONEST INTEGRITY and this is something we need to SEE if we are going to keep promoting this ONLINE!!!
It needs to be SAFE for us all concerned.
Lets not promote the illegal use of cannabis and the legal use of cannabis on the SAME FORUM.
It sends out mixed messages and confuses EVERYONE and can create an atmosphere of fear and hostility and entices criminals into the system.
Please be HONEST and FAIR to EVERYONE and promote cannabis in a healthy manner for all concerned. Some are legal and some aren't and there IS a difference. Lets NOT mesh these two together irresponsibly.
Promoting cannabis should be flowing in ONE DIRECTION!!!!
FOR US ALL!!!!
